Nah he’s (Naylor) old school and that’s refreshing these days.
Tonight, willing to knowingly take one in the back of the head to break up a DP.
I'm not saying he's not a fighter/gamer that I'd want on my team, he just seems like a bit of a rat/punk in the limited stuff I see on TV. Raleigh is a class act, I almost felt bad for him in the post series interviews. That scream in the background of the Woo interview...any bets on who it was? My guess would be either Naylor or Eduardo Bazardo.
I think just based on pure playing style and grit, Naylor would be an amazing fit for this team, but positionally we clearly have no need for a 1B or DH.

So nice to see Barger finding his groove again. He scuffled in the 2nd half a fair bit as the league built a book him, but he's been excellent this post season. He's going to be a big part of this team next year. Could be a 3+ fWAR 3B

Yeah I don't understand some of the negativity towards him. He's the only young player in the lineup (not counting pitchers). That's massive pressure.
Yes he sometimes makes bone-headed plays but he has also come up with massive hits. And the moment doesn't happen last night without an incredibly disciplined AB to generate a walk.
Yet some fans just seem to have a dislike for him. Not sure why

So Bo has said he'll be ready for the WS, my guess is he'll DH. No way they put him in the field on a wonky knee and disrupt the stellar middle of the infield. IKF comes out of the starting line up but stays in the bench, Loperfido gets taken off the roster again.
LF Springer
RF Lukes
1B Vlad
DH Bo
C Kirk
CF Varsho
2B Clement
3B Barger
SS Giminez
Heineman, IKF, Straw on the bench.
EDIT: Just want to point out that every single one of those players is under control next season except for Bo. How sweet is that?

I only saw one minor mistake from him all series, not running to 3rd from 2nd off an infield hit. But those are tricky to judge as is without the noise and pressure from the playoffs. Same game though he made two huge outs in right field, and throughout the series he was incredibly clutch at the plate. What more do you want from the guy?

Yeah and he's literally a rookie. I think he's only going to get better.

They might start him out on the bench too, for pinch hitting.
Ohhhhh Babyyyyy!! What a night! After the 5th inning I decided I needed to switch things up as nothing was going right for the Jays, so I switched from cable to streaming, changed seats, stopped watching for one inning and then switched back to see Gausman get his last out of the inning.
And it worked! That Springer Dinger is going to live in infamy for the Jays, what a clutch moment from a clutch player.
Also... I told ya so...

Absolutely unreal that they have pulled off the comeback in this series. What a team with absolutely zero quit.
That's logically the most likely lineup you'd expect. Schneider needs to be on the roster as well though. If you need a pinch hitter in a tight spot or injury replacement he's obviously a pretty good option, and a far better bat than IKF or Straw.
Will be interesting to see if Bo can step in and produce at his typical level at the plate after such a long layoff. At worst he's still a significant upgrade offensively over IKF in the order, but no way I'd be putting him into the field. His D is below average at the best of times and you'd have to imagine that he is still nowhere near 100% in terms of movement.

So many good storylines from this series:
- Ohtani choosing LA over Toronto
- Sasaki choosing LA over Toronto
- Teoscar returning to Toronto
- Freeman being Canadian and going against the team
- Ohtani vs Vlad
- Kershaw's last year
- Maybe Mad Max's last year
- Bombers (LA) vs. Bat-on-ball (Toronto)
- USA vs Canada
- Huge payroll vs. very large payroll
- I'm sure there are plenty others
