Aside from the IQ issues we’ve all heard is there something else? Off ice issue?

Don’t jump all over this as a player comparison. I know the rest of their respective games are a ways apart.
They talked about him a bit on 960.
I would be willing to do a 6 x $3.5, however I don’t know if he would accept that. Might be betting high on himself.

I can't imagine him signing for 6 x $3.5M
He isn't going to get offered $5 - $6M, which is what it would take for him to want to sign for 6 years or more, so I think it's safe to assume that he will sign for 2 or 3 years.
My guess would be 2 x $2.5M, maybe 2 x $3M at the most

All kinds of juicy flames stuff
Markstrom first call on Friday
Might trade for Halls rights and if they get him they will trade Johnny for a Dman
Most active team out there

Saw a blue check mark but doesn’t look like a hockey insider

I find it also a little odd that the writing is on the wall for Rask and the Bruins, that they can demand that high a price all things considered. This year given the lack of defence depth, I'd absolutely not do that deal.

No freaking chance. Goalies don’t return stuff like that. Forget 33 year old goalies.

Bruins GM told reporters today that Rask is their goaltender going forward. Basically he squashed the Rask on trade block rumours

I’ve heard his work ethic on and off the ice is an issue and that the coaches want him gone.

So he’ll be gone within 24 hours then.

member of the Canadian national team, and he’s 30.
Instantly he’s the most accomplished goalie they’ve had since Vernon.
We could do a whole lot worse.

Yeah, they were probably up front with him that they need to to try and balance out the roster, but may circle back to him if something else doesn't work out.
I am guessing Hall is the domino. If the Flames acquire his rights and sign him before free agency, then they will probably let Brodie go and trade Gaudreau for a more cost-controlled defenseman. Because Brodie is going to be getting a huge contract.

I agree and unless prices drop drastically I prefer to sign a goalie as opposed to trading for one.
My biggest takeaway from that is the Hall news which has been speculated but not mentioned too much outside of Eklund.

Except he has been terrible the last two seasons

Yeah, I do feel like a lot depends on Hall.
If he signs here, it affects their ability to present Brodie with a competitive offer or throw enough money at Markstrom to get him to bite. If Hall opts for a one year contract with a contender, I could see us re-sign Brodie, put in a good bid for Markstrom and tinker with the forwards with cheaper middle six type adds.
If they sign him I'd expect them to subsequently trade a roster player to shed money to address goalie/other needs. And that could very well be Gaudreau.
