Steve Smith, Leon Draisaitl both Oilers players who scored on their own net during a playoff series. Maybe others can help me add to the list.

There's something in Edmonton.

I heard Skinner was starting earlier in the day and it lifted my spirits. The game itself did nothing but pay that back in spades. I hope Picard is out for a week so we as Flames fans can reep the full effect of the Skinner experience.

Thing is, it’s not Skinner. Or what he does himself…

Skinner knew the guy had time for 1 shot and drove him to a place where he couldn’t score… the puck was going parallel to the goal line, but Draisaitl deflected it in

Draisaitl doesn’t touch it, game goes to OT

Skinner doesn’t need to stay back for a rebound, there is no time left

He played it fine, Draisaitl scored the winner for the other team

Hilariously no Oiler fans can blame Draisaitl, that’d be sacrilege

Skinner needs out. He’s the closest thing they have to a likeable guy and just doesn’t fit

As for the earlier Reilly goal, I can’t explain why they part like the Red Sea and give opponents a clear path to the net when he is in. It is truly bizarre. But it is just what they did against LA the 2 games he was in.

Oilers were only tied because of a fluke goal off of a Vegas skate. Their fans have no business complaining.

Didn’t watch. Haven’t been able to stomach Oinker games. Got up today and watched on DTMTS (don’t tell me the score) and was stunned at the ending. And delighted! (I’d seen a couple scores earlier in the night and wasn’t hopeful…)

Awesome finish but we can’t ignore that those jerks tied it up late yet again. Insane.

My favorite comment on the YouTube highlights:

'Draisaitl wasn't going to miss from there.'

I like the skinner play in general as the correct play, but he biffed it at the last second by deciding to not extend his right leg to the goal line (which I believe he easily could have) and instead tries to play it with his stick and misses. The pucks only option should have been up ice.

Didnt watch a second of the game. So we know what I’ll be not doing tomorrow.

Watched the highlight of the karlsson goal. Pissy took one stride inside the oilers blue line and coasted to the far end of the far bench (2nd period). He even looked at the puck carrier and still decided to go for a change but not hustle. I didn’t see any delayed penalty, but there were 9 oilers on the ice; one or two even waited for the oilers to get close to the bench. How is this even remotely missed?

Pissy on the winner didn’t wait either. He buried that puck knowing that the clock was winding down. Well done pissy!

The look on mavi’s face on the tieing goal; the smirk for the puck going off of a Vegas skate…how do more players not take exception? Many goals are redirected or just bounces but to pretend otherwise…well he must believe his own press clippings.

I also don’t get the skinner pile on. Does the crappy defending in front of him not matter?

Go Vegas! Win the next one in greaserville and you might be onto something!!

Unsustainable!
I still think they get past Vegas, but eventually they'll stop winning games when playing from behind.

It's only a matter of time before their "depth" goes cold.

Sounds like people are ripping Skinner not sure why. I only saw highlights but I don’t really fault him much for the goals and it looks like he made some big saves too.

The Oilers will never figure out their real problem.

Yeah the fingers are being pointed in the wrong direction. It wasn’t the fault of Skinner or Leon but rather the chumps who got puck watching and totally ignored the guy coming

Exactly. One second left, and Skinner forces the shooter wide. His only option is then to dump it out front. Not Skinner's fault that Draisaitl has sweet hands.

But Oiler fans immediately blame the goaltending for every single loss they incur.
