^ Well, Anthony Beauvilier is outscoring Horvat since the trade took place so yeah I'd say that's about right.

Horvat hasn't been "bad" on the island, but he looks a lot like normal Horvat and not super Horvat that we've seen so far this year. Horvat has never been a major play driver so losing Barzal is going to hurt his production a lot if he's cooling off.
Kuzmenko (and Beauvilier) is riding shot gun with Pettersson, so even if Kuz starts to falter, Pettersson will keep his stat line from flat lining.
I'd take Kuzmenko on this one. The Canucks score a lot, and Pettersson's line mates will always factor into that a lot.

From HFBoard oiler fan, in analyzing MacT's management:
O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
They are already over the cap for next year as well. They were setup so nicely for a good rebuild and they completely and utterly blew it. Actually they just threw it out the window without even trying.
if true (and even if I don't like Dreger, I don't think he's a BS merchant), you really have to feel for their fans there ... ownership and/or front office really throwing a wrench into a situation that actually unfolded really well for them. Stock up on picks, get out of the Miller contract, carefully rebuild around young star players like Hughes and Pettersson ... instead, they give up a 1st for Hronek and keep Miller. Hard to fathom this level of inaptitude.
since trade:
Horvat 4 goals 3 assists in 10 games
Beauvillier 6 goals 5 assists in 12 games
meaningless games vs. games in an actual playoff race
BIG difference
Vancouver always has a late run when the pressure is of and their fans are all "watch out next season"
how many times did we hear about the record under BB leading into the season

10 of the 12 teams they have played since trade are in a playoff race, doesn't matter if it's meaningless for Vancouver, the teams they are playing are still in it.
Should be just as hard to score against a team in the playoffs as out of the race.

lol yes it does...they have zero pressure right now
see last season after they were out of it vs. the start of this year until they were out of it.
Also, they are playing firewagon hockey because they aren't all that worried about getting scored on. Little different for the Islanders.

Then somebody needs to tell Huberdeau we're out of it at the start of next season so he can score more.
I'm failing to understand how it gets easier to score in the NHL just because you aren't in the playoff race, they play the leafs tomorrow, leafs going to take it easy because Vancouver is out?
If NHL players find it harder to score because of pressure they need to visit the sports phycologist that every team employs.
Do you have any stats or evidence to back up this theory or you just keep saying it hoping people will accept it after time?

No fans deserve this more than Vancouver fans.

like are you even serious right now?
its common knowledge that teams with zero pressure often stop squeezing the sticks so tight and put up more goals when the pressure is off...they also aren't as worried about defending and winning so mistakes aren't a big deal.
Canucks do this every season, as do a bunch of teams.
Canucks have scored 4+ goals in 4 of their last 7
And yes teams with playoff spots locked up do take bottom feeders lightly...are you new?
