If the Devils wait a year or two they could have Nemec and Luke Hughes patrolling the blueline on ELCs so I don't think they're feeling the urge to send assets out to bring in Quinn.

He is a backup goaltender behind one of the worst defensive groups in the post lockout NHL. He can play well but he won’t be able to consistently win games or steal points. That said he is the perfect goaltender for the Canucks right now. When they win it is because they outscore their deficiencies which isn’t sustainable practice.
Just a bad team that sacrificed their future for a mirage in the bubble.
Agreed. He is a below average backup goaltending whose win loss record initially was a direct result of the team averaging 4+ goals per game when he played. The defense doesn't help though and results in a lot higher quality of shots against. The sad thing is that the defense will get worse before it gets better as no one is coming up to me help. Just brutal development.
Their best defensive prospect is Elias Pettersson and no one else. They haven't had a prospect other than Hughes play in their top four since Elder. That's 20 years and one player!
Or he could have just not said he was well liked and said he personally liked him, seems like he went out of his way to say that he was
Maybe its true maybe it isn't, but saying that bruce csnt be believed but an out of context few second clip from the bench is a clear sign?
Theres been no actual proof that hes not well liked, in fact it only really started being treated as gospel by certain fans who turned on him hard ever since the contract
I saw an interesting trade proposal the other night (I feel like it might of been Tim & Sid or w/e its called now) and thought it might actually be good for both teams:
VAN gets younger, basically 3 1st round picks.
NJD reunite all 3 Hughes brother.
NJD Receive:
D- Q Hughes
VAN Receives:
D - Simon Nemek
F - Dawson Mercer
1st round pick 2023
Quinn Hughes is highly highly overrated, great offensive skills but a tire fire in his own end (see him being a Tyson Barrie type player). That would be a brutal trade for the Devils. He isn’t worth the 1st+Mercer let alone adding Nemec.

Or not said anything at all on the topic if he thought he was an issue. He's not going to trash a player in the media but that is different than going out and defending the player.
Predictions of Horvat and Kuzmenko from this point on, even though they play different positions ?
Horvat has lots of strengths, talent and is perhaps at, or coming in to his prime. Kuzmenko, almost a year younger seemingly has lots of talent, great production in his first NHL year, desire and character. In a gamble I'd take Kuzmenko.
