The neutral zone play is real ugly. Backlund line the only one pushing play right now

Missing Tanev bigtime. Too many guys playing big minutes who give up too much.

Yup. That last decision by toffoli was just bad

Toffoki is very prone to giveaways high in the o-zone. That’s gotta go deep.

why such a difference in their defensive game compared to the Dallas series. Yeah, McD is good, but why such a mess overall?

Have to simplify in the NZ. Chip it in if necessary, but don't be threading fancy east-west passes. North, always north.

I think what I hate about them most is that they play exactly the wrong way.

to be fair, Dallas played a very low risk style and didn't have forwards like McDavid.

take him off the scoresheet and how many goals does Edmonton have? 2?

Oilers are faster and more skilled than Dallas. They're also down a goal, so they're cherry-picking like crazy to try and tie it. Flames need to be more defensively aware and cut down on those neutral zone turnovers.

Yeah, he's all they've got, but he's putting in a performance to remember. I usually think he doesn't deserve as much attention as he gets, but he's doing all he knows how to do right now and it's pretty damned impressive. The rest of his team is utter trash though.
