Celtic have an absolute stroll in the park in their first ever game against their new city rivals Sports Direct FC, Sevco FC Ltd, The Rangers or whatever their name is to reach the Scottish League Cup final.

Good ol' Arry steps down ... because of his knee.

Quote:
Harry Redknapp has resigned as manager of Queens Park Rangers, citing the need for “immediate surgery” on his knee. The club coaches Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey have been placed in temporary charge of the west London team.

Redknapp, who joined in November 2012, said he told his chairman, Tony Fernandes, of his decision to resign on the early hours of Tuesday morning.

“I was awake all night, thinking about it,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail. “I’m struggling so badly now. I can’t walk, I can barely stand and watch. I’m in pain all the time. I’ve been putting it off, and putting it off, but it has got to the stage where I cannot do the job.

“I went to bed thinking I would sleep on it, but then I couldn’t sleep a wink. That’s when I decided to call Tony. It must have been 5.30am.

“I just told him he needed someone who could properly coach and manage the team in the next 10 weeks. It’s such an important time. They need someone who can give it everything.”

Or not because Mr. Wheeler & Dealer never got any of his transfer targets (or any signing in fact)...

Herrera benched again. It was never going to work, was it? A proper midfielder with vision and creativity ... that kind of nonsense is not wanted at United. I just hope he's patient ... if there's a football god, his United career will last longer than van Gaals.

This collection of Aaron Lennon looking glum after joining Everton on loan is hilarious, particularly the last one.

After coming on, Herrera needed just 3 minutes to get an assist. Van Gaal will be pissed.

I'm just happy Aston Villa scored today, but now I know I'm acting crazy because I actually am hoping they can equalize against Chelsea with 10 to play.
