in sports where's there's a constant murmur of crowd noise, then yelling out probably doesn't make much difference. in tennis when the stadium is whisper quiet as the server steps up, and then some dumbass randomly shouts right at the moment of the toss then that's far more disruptive and unfair.
I agree with Spiteface though, Novak has a history of letting external factors screw up his mental state. everyone assumed he had conquered that after his 2011 run, but lately some of the old problems have come back. that has me starting to think that 2011 was a bit of a very long lucky streak. he's still a future hall of famer easily, but his major total should be much higher for how many opportunities were presented over the last few seasons.
either way, Rafa stepped up and didn't let previous shaky matches against Nole creep in, and that's why he's 3-4 trophies away from history. it's really a race against time now though, cause things can suddenly stop working the way they are supposed to in your late 20's and early 30's. just ask my favorite player who doesn't even make news anymore when he doesn't make it past the 4th round.

Welp, that wasn't good. Raonic lost in the second round at Halle. He looked off and pretty slow today.
Good news, Wozniak moved onto the third round at Aegon.

A bit of a mixed bag on grass for the Canadians right now:
Peter Polansky and Frank Dancevic are on the road to qualifying for Wimbledon. Ditto for Aleks Wozniak.
Genie Bouchard is out of the Topshelf Open, after a three set loss to Vania King.

Genie with a rather tough draw, could be out in the opening round as Hantuchova is a dangerous opponent. But hopefully she can get to the 4th round so we can get Genie-Serena. Pospisil is looking at Djokovic in the 3rd round and Milos is in Nadal's quarter.

Pospisil gets bounced, 6-7 (6), 6-4, 5-7, 3-6. And Diet Coke has a new spokeswoman...

Bummer. Vasek Pospisil falls to Haase in four sets in the opening round of Wimbledon.
Sort of related: Genie Bouchard signed her first non-tennis endorsement deal in Canada. It's with Coca-cola. http://tvasports.ca/tennis/bouchard-...-cola-23062014
Edit: You're fast But great minds...

He's got the LL next to him on Wikipedia, so I would imagine so.

Good start Milos! He wins in straights sets over Matt Ebden.
Edit: and it looks like Frank Dancevic is onto the next round too. He beat Ivo Karlovic in three sets, including two tiebreakers.

Dancevic is a lucky loser indeed, beats Karlovic in straights 6-4, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4).
Edit: Dancevic played out of his mind, literally. 47 winners to 4(!!!) unforced errors. Milos "only" had 56 winners to 17 errors.

Genie gets through the tough first rounder against Hantuchova 7-5, 7-5. Trailed a break in each set, but we're used to Genie showing that kind of fight.

The saddest part is the article is 95% about her as a competitor and her drive, but once you throw in those great looking pictures, there basically was no article.
