It makes me sick how many people don't understand what freedom of speech is. You said whatever you wanted, you're not in jail as a result ... it doesn't mean you're immune from any sort of negative results you moron.

I love the part where he said they stepped on the toes of the freedom of speech. A drunken guy in a cowboy hat talking about freedom. The only way he could be more of a stereotype is if he released that statement from his Dodge Ram in a NASCAR parking lot. Good riddance. (though I will miss that song. Its got high comedic value among me and my buddies)
I still think it was better than NBC's SNF intro. Outside of the Faith Hill shots (who still looks smoking hot despite her age), that might be one of the lamest intros to anything. It actually makes me hate football for the entire three minutes it runs. Also, why does it have to be three minutes long? Completely unnecessary.

Hahaha agreed, that's one awful. I should explain, even though I think that guy's the worst and the song was hilarious, I still liked it, it made me laugh. One of those jingles that grows on you. Hell I even have an electronic bottle opener that sings the MNF song every time you crack a beer, its the best.
The only problem is its got a Bucs logo on it (got it at Raymond James), I refuse to use it the 2 times we play them per year. Bad mojo.
I was pissed when they changed from Pink to Faith Hill, but that's probably just me...
Overall, I can do without Hank, Faith, and the lame-ass Fox robots.
My old man's still convinced thats a guy in a suit. Wow that must really hurt when he transforms..
I loved when Joe Buck was on Conan a few months back and Conan was just ranting about how much he hates "Cleatus" (apparently that's the robot's name), and made Buck personally apologize for FOX still using it. Good stuff.
Hopefully he cleans himself up because of this. It's hard for me to label someone who is likely a drug addict a moron. Addiction isn't something that is easily overcome in a lot of people.

If true, the NFL has lost a legend, and a true steward of the game. He became a bit of a caricature in the past years, but his impact on the league was huge.

Too bad about Davis....the guy was an innovator and an icon that had become a bit of a cartoon character in recent years. A really good coach too before becoming an owner.

I think Al kind of got the last laugh on his critics in a lot of ways. The Heyward-Bey draft pick was pretty bad, but the last few Raiders' drafts have produced some gems in the later rounds. He sure ended up being right about Lane Kiffin too.
I gained a greater respect for Mr. Davis after watching the L.A. Raiders 30 for 30 on ESPN. I'm not sure there are many owners that would stand up to "The Shield" like that.

Another one of the AFL original owners goes down. If not for guys like Davis I don't know if those franchises would have lasted long enough to get into the NFL. Sad day for any fan of an original AFL team.

RIP Al. It's one of those things that you know it's coming but you are still shocked to hear it finally happened. He was such a defiant guy I felt he was going to live well into his 90's. Lots of uncertainty within the Raiders with him gone. A search for a GM will likely commence.
