For sure. I think those that got through were telegraphed for open areas so were not taken out.

I've also read that they were targeting military sites and not civilian areas, which may also explain the no casualties part.

Doesn't seem like it. Iran doesn't have the ability to make precision hits at large distances. It sounds like the missiles are just falling all over the place. A lot of the ones that are getting close to the cities are getting shot down, and the rest Israel is letting fall.

I guess Israel shouldn't put military targets like the Mossad headquarters in areas where humans live.

With the Jewish high holidays about to begin tomorrow evening (lasting10 days or so) you wonder if Israel stands down for now.

Oooooh that's right. My buddy told me that the new year starts for them tomorrow? I wonder also if the attacks from Iran happened today and not tomorrow for that reason.

Agree. Rosh Hashannah starts tomorrow night and Yom Kippur is a week Saturday.

LOL. Religion: the source of wars, and reasons for their pauses. Heaven forbid we kill people on a Holy Day. That would be wrong!

The Mossad headquarters is in a clearly marked building on the outskirts of the city, not in a hospital or school.
You can see it here:

Mostly surrounded by farmland, which is rare for a building that employs 1000s of people, as Israel is so densely populated to begin with.

Yes, that's what happens in places where humans live.
This is why many of us objected to vehemently to empty rationalizations of 'hiding in the population blah blah blah' because you know the other side will parrot it with just as much certainty.
And here we are with more and more people at risk every day.

I think the point stands though. Another bunch of people that want nothing to do with this now get to go about their lives in fear. The impacts are varied, but tons of innocent people are subject to the whims of powerful people's ambitions.

I wish that were the case, but from my gatherings, it appears that the Israeli government is foaming at the mouth. I’m expecting a retaliation.

Lol, this isn't about defense anymore. It's about Netanyahu keeping his seat. Perpetual war.

Right, Israel made Iran attack them. Just like Israel doesn't actually want the hostages back and apparently Israel also committed Oct 7th. It's all an elaborate ruse by the mastermind Netanyahu, he's the one eating babies and kicking dogs.
Funny how these brain dead conspiracies fall on their face when all Hamas would have to do to ruin them is turn over the hostages or accept a peace treaty, oh wait they are much too preoccupied with getting a piece of land back.

As far as the IDFs character it doesn't go out and murder civilians for the sake of murdering civilians no matter how many times you try to spin it that way. Showing cases where something went wrong.
How do I know the character of the IDF? I had my dad serve there, and I have cousins serving there, as well as friends. They're all great people, and they would share stories as well. My dad was in the response squad to chemical and biological weapon attacks, but half of his reservist duty was guard duty. They had very strict instructions regarding any discharge of a weapon. He didn't discharge his weapon once outside of training while on duty.

When you get a chance I'm still interested in seeing that report where the finding was the Palestinian detainee raped himself.

When you back Putin and wish death on other people not even involved in a war, maybe you’re not the best judge of character.

I already replied to that.
Here's the article I read in August. The title says: "The hospitals opinion: "The wounds were self inflicted"".
As I mentioned a couple of pages back, that I don't condone the rape of prisoners, even a Nokhba terrorist, using a blunt object or otherwise.
Not making excuses, but I could see what would push the soldiers to such as act. The Nokhba are the group responsible for countless rapes and executions on the 7th. If that terrorist, for example bragged about any of it, then I could see how it would push a person over the edge, and blur what would be the right thing to do. Actions still have consequences, so I would expect those soldiers to sit in prison for several years for such an act.
