Lost in the shuffle of firing Woody, was they fired Dave Manson as D coach.
The guy's wife died a couple months ago from cancer.
What the actual eff. Manson gets saddled with the task of coaching probably the worst D grouping assembled. And because Nurse has no clue how to play the position and they overused the ######-bomb, they are going to fire this guy? To put Paul Coffey in as coach?
If he truly was holding back the defense, then i know hard decisions need to be made. But his wife just died and you single him out for a firing because the GM is terrible.
I hate that org. Hope someone scoops Manson.

IMO it should be something to do with "Cup or Bust" because that will never cease to be hilarious.

It's even better. They're catering every transaction and hire to appease him, which is in turn pissing him off.
How great will it be if he would've extended there even without playoff success, but changes his mind because the team kept doing dumb #### to convince him?
It makes perfect sense, really. Just like a guy wining, dining and buying flowers for the girlfriend or wife that's debating leaving him. Ironically the unsolicited gestures make her so feel so claustrophobic that it's what pushers her to go through with it.
