Johnson was sent to the AHL today which makes sense but with the agency change to the same group that got Seth Jones and PLD out of there I am hoping he asks for a move.

Sillinger has got to be a target. Seems to have stalled a bit in Columbus. I recall a lot of rumours that he was the Flames draft target if he was there at their pick. Went one ahead of us and we took Coronato. He's got some grit to his game, and could slot in nicely down the middle with Kadri and Backlund.

He also won't be the GM anymore if he is waiting for all those guys to be good

Strongly disagree here. Sillinger is bigger and meaner than Dube, plays a harder game, and is less a speed threat but more of a swiss army knife.

Going on offensive potential, I think Sillinger is much higher as well. In Sillinger's 16 year old season in the Dub he put up 53 points in 48 games. Dube at the same age put up only 27 points in 45 games. Dube made the NHL in his d+2 season and put up 5 points in 25 games. Sillinger's first nhl season saw him hit 31 points in 79 games.

If Sillinger is on a similar development curve to Dube, then he's likely to start popping more offensively this season and really next season. But I'd say the potentially is pretty demonstrably better with Sillinger.

Sillinger and Johnson would be awesome. Johnson over Sillinger if we got the choice, and Sillinger is still a decent prize.

How desperate are the Jackets to get back to the playoffs this year? Would they pay a premium for Lindholm to try to rekindle the old purple Gatorade magic with Gaudreau?

They're one of the few teams who could take on Lindholm's full salary right now too.

Seems like a pretty bold statement…. The guy is 20 years old. That’s like saying Tage Thompson was Joe colborne

I just don't see the upside when I watch him. I absolutely could be wrong but he screams 3C to me.

You would have to think that Seattle would be interested in Johnson. Johnson and Beniers were dynamite together in Michigan. Beniers had a great rookie season but has had a slow start this season.

Dube has been around for 5 yrs.
5 yrs older. Do you see something that says he is more than a 3rd liner?

Hertl + Couture for Huberdeau + Kadri? Sharks probably say no.

Why do the Sharks make that move when they can move Hertl for pieces to help with their rebuild?

No probably about it Sharks run away from that deal as fast as they can.
