Ingram reportedly suffers from mental health issues and is an alcoholic. From a personal and human point of view, I hope he has a long and happy life and gets his career on track, but from a hockey perspective, I'm not sure he is a guy you take a flyer on unless you really think he will move the needle.

Leafs need a backup with Woll out so they might claim Ingram. Hildeby will get a shot at it but I don't think they're comfortable going into the season handing him the #2.

That seems like an arbitrary line. not eligible because they played one NHL game last season. Probably make a more appealing list if the likes of Parekh and Demidov were on the list.

Ingram is not reliable. He needs more time to get things sorted out.

Flames already have too many goalies in the system. They seem to have a bit of a hording problem.

Calgary is(has been for a while) keeping tabs on the Robertson front from what I’m told, I do think they have significant interest and I know some really hate the idea because he’s not a center, but sharing what I’m hearing.
Dallas has been keeping tabs on Andersson dating back to last deadline, don’t think anything is close, but that’s the latest.

If that's the best return you can get for Andersson you take it. But he's an immediate flip before the TDL.

NHL top 23 under 23 and no Zayne Parekh. Looking at this list I’m having a hard time believing there wasn’t some oversight. Or maybe I’m missing something….
|
Yeah I thought the same as you, one of the arbitrary criteria to qualify as an under 23 prospect in that article is to have played zero NHL games, hence no Parekh.
Still some bizarre rankings though for sure.

And Buium, and Dickinson, and countless others
It's an idiotic criteria to exclude anyone that has played as little as 1 NHL game, which produces an idiotic outcome.

There are probably 10 guys I'd easily take ahead of Howard on that list

Scoring Winger

I say we get Robertson he is one of the best Canadian (Cali-Kid, my bad) power forwards out there. FYI he is now entering his 6th season which if memory serves was the same season Iginla scored 52. Not saying he is the next Iginla, but the probability is not ZERO!

Is Robertson not a California Kid?

Born in Cali and moved to Michigan at 10. Nothing in Canada until he was drafted by the OHL.

Man, Utah has gotta be the worst (or best) place to be an alcoholic.

That list is a drunken mess. Even if you dont Parekh to it it's pretty bad. Catton ahead of Misa? Howard ahead of literally anybody on that list? Who the EFF is Fowler???
3 of those players missed majority or all of their seasons last year.
Schaefer hasn't done squat yet to be the best of the U-23 grouping.
Man, I should apply to be a sports writer with this quality of thought analysis. I certainly could not do any worse.
