We got a miracle run and still didn't make it. That's what I'm talking about.
20-30%, but there were also 4 teams all competing for that last spot. It wasn't statistically unlikely. The Flames were just in tight race with other teams. Big difference between that and being out of it.

The Flames won their last 4 games, but went 3-3-2 in the 8 games before that.

It was far more statistically unlikely with those last 4 games, that the Flames didn't make it, as they had to win out and the other teams lose. The Blues had won 12 in a row prior to that last 4 games.

So I guess you could make an argument that after the Blues had won 12 in a row, and only 4 games were left, the season was over, but it actually wasn't, as the Flames won all 4 games and missed by a tie breaker.

Why is Marek mentioning Naz all the time? Who is he carrying water for?

Prosbitov is good. I dont think either of those goals were on him.

Calgary Sun said that Prosvetov was our best player as well. That's two games where he's been the best Flame, very encouraging.

Leafs or Habs front office, make sure Naz knows he is wanted and would fit the contention window better there. Has to be. Canadian media live a die based on relationships with Canadian team front offices IMO.

That's one scary injury. It doesn't seem to be a result of a big hit either.

Sort of. Lots of times when your goalie is the best player, espeically in a loss, it's because he's been under fire the whole game.

I can't see Naz going to a US team with the current climate down south, it wouldn't be safe for his family. If he's going anywhere I think it has to be a Canadian team.

Maybe this is posted somewhere else but in light of how some posters here feel about the content at the Athletic, how about this?

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/longfor...under-23-2025/

NHL top 23 under 23 and no Zayne Parekh. Looking at this list I’m having a hard time believing there wasn’t some oversight. Or maybe I’m missing something….

Clearly left him off so the article's authors would have room to put Ike Howard on the list instead.

Tom Wallinder is a better prospect than Parekh? Really?

I really don't get the Ike Howard hype and Parekh not on that list is a head scratcher. Kind of funny that in a list NHL Network put out a couple weeks ago has Parekh 6th, but can't crack top 20 for Sportsnet. I am disappointed with Sam Cosentino, Jason Bukala and Emily Sadler

That sportsnet list is comically bad. Wtf is Danny Nelson? I just looked him up, and I'd be hard pressed to rank him above Suniev in the Flames' system, never mind top 20 across the league.

This, however, explains Parekh's absence:

...and has yet to make his NHL debut (which rules out someone like Ivan Demidov, who debuted with Montreal late last spring and joined the club for the playoffs).

He played well though and kept them in a game with a non NHL roster in front of him

Would Ingram be an upgrade on Prosvetov or Cooley? Cause if so the Flames should 100% be in on this

I believe in Prosvetov, but if claiming Ingram also prevented the Oilers from grabbing him. I'm okay with it.

Xavier Bourgault is also on waivers already. Shocker of a 1st round pick.
