Anyone who is blaming Darryl needs to watch a little closer.

Feels like they're teetering on the brink now... So disappointing.

That’s a better group than the Oilers have.

Ofcourse it plays a role. Yes we would still likely be out of this game.
All that seems obvious from it is that more minutes for Kylington is not good

Agreed. Those two have been grand. Then you have Ron Maclean, telling us some poetry at the start of the game and in the middle of the game analysis, congratulates some goalie that no one has ever heard of on a victory, leading to his discussion about mike smith. Ya. I’m a bitter fan today.

This feels a lot like 2019 Avs series now
Superstar going Supernova and Flames have no answer, so they start panicking and trying to do it themselves.

This is starting to go the way the series against the Avalanche did. MacKinnon burned the Flames’ defenders with speed through the neutral zone a few times early and they lost all confidence in their gap control and angles for the rest of the series.
Sagging way too much allowing free controlled entries and resulting time to make a positive play. Tough mental battle to overcome. Playing scared to make a mistake rather than with confidence in forcing one of the opposition. Badly miss Tanev not only for his defensive acumen but also his mentality and the impact is has on the rest of the defenders.

It's a ploy to throw the grease off guard. Get them thinkin they're all that, then whip them good.

Just get McDavid's ####ing autograph and go home. It's embarrassing watching the Flames standing around and watching him in awe as he dangles and speeds around them.
Whatever Sutter's plan was for stopping McDavid the players are definitely not following it because he surely didn't tell the players to enjoy the performance since they're so close to it.

Unless Darryl is telling them to missplay every puck and fudge every assignment and generally poo their pants on the ice this is absolutely not on him.

Instead of blaming the refs, the fact that Kane should be in jail, and the fact that LA should have beaten the Oilers, maybe, just maybe, the Flames need to go out there and show they are the superior team on the ice.
I think we all know they are. We’ve seen the Oilers go on theses types of runs before. They can be stopped.

The wank fest over David is justified but that’s only because the Flames D are pretending to be pylons. This game should only be 1-0 but the odd man rushes and turnovers are killing it.

Tanev would make a massive difference.
He would be a calming influence. Hanifan doesn't know left from right these last 2 games.
They've slid Gud to cover for Kylington and Kylington is playing the least amount (but still too many,) minutes.
Stone and Zadorov fine.
Andersson looks lost and tired and selfish and paired with Noah they are done and are making bad decisions.
Tanev would absolutely have calmed that down.

I almost feel as if the Flames need to play a different style against the Oilers. Hartley hockey or something.

At this point I’m open to seeing the hockey equivalent of the box and one. Something funky to shadow him in all zones. What could you possibly lose at this point?
