Good news Oilers fans! Help is on the way. Mark Spector has graciously offered to act as an advisor.

It kind of goes with their strategy of collecting #######s, so I believe it.

Being interested in a player is one thing, but that player and/or his team being interested in you is an entirely different story... and usually the end of the story.

I checked on CapFriendly, next year the penalty cap hit is 1.1 million. So that plus the 3.25 bonus for Brown, plus the 1.9 mil in James Neal they would have 6.25 million in dead space. The cap is going to go up around 4 mil. With a Campbell buyout and a Brown bonus they would have less cap space next year than they do this year. Hahahahhhahahhahahha
Then the years after the buyout goes by:
2.3, 2.6, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5
They are so screwed if they have to do that. Plus they have to pay Draisaitl and McDavid. This is their best year to have a shot and ole Kenny Holland has screwed them for years to come.

If they had ever managed to work this out they wouldn't be in the crap they have wallowed in for the last 35 years

Yet, the owners, management and coaches continue to believe that DraiDavid will lead them to the promised land…..
With the long lead and sustained belief that de fence is something you put around de yard.

Oilers via their press, and as a result their fans, are the most persistent in sports in desperately trying to compartmentalize and pin failures on one person. It's usually the goalie (Smith, Talbot, Scrivens), or a coach every 2-3 years and every 4-5 years it's the GM. The odd time it's a skater.
Campbell gets the heat for this week but if that shakeup doesn't work it's back to Woodpecker under the spotlight next week. Then it's onto Holland. It's like clockwork up there for decades.

What an outrageous take. Why would he need to spell his own name?

True story, Edmonton players are the reason they started putting their names on the backs of jerseys.
