Yep. Why we left the NCHL. Nothing like some d-bag who used to play in the dub going on a c/d team and scoring 50+ goals only 3/4 of the way into the summer season (~15 games).

Jayems, you guys playing in the Slush Cup tourney or Banff tourney?? HNA is way better IMO than the NCHL. No ringers, way better ice times, cheaper, refs actually show up, etc. Trying to convince my NCHL team to switch over...

We put together a really good team for the summer and went into the ASHL, better icetimes, 30 games, and CHEAPER. NCHL can lick my taint.

Someone else who thinks they are way in the wrong division they started in our Division (E South) and they destroyed us for 3 games before they got moved up to D and from what I've seen they are doing the same in that division as well.

Yeah, we're going to go to Banff (or at least part of the team will). We may have 1/2 Puckers and 1/2 Saints or something. What weekend are you doing? there are 2, if I remember correctly.
As per the HNA, times are comparable, but the scheduling is wacked. We won't play for 3 weeks then play 3 games in 5 days. Then be off for another 20 days. Really dumb. However, we've never had refs or time keepers no-show (and that happened quite a few times for us in the NCHL).
Quality of referreing is questionable, however. Some let everything go and games get out of hand while others are militant and call everything. Best part is you don't go to a penalty shot or get the game cancelled. (worst rule in the world). Our team has a bad rap with the refs so they never go easy on us.

No for us it was Sun Hounds, I'm a part time D-man/Goalie and I played net in 2 games against them and I'm still in my first year of playing goal and they beat me 14-3 and 11-2.

Slush Cup is May 22 - 24th I think. We always (and only) go to the Banff tourney at the end of Sept. The one in early Sept. is in Canmore I think.
Agreed on the refs, but the same can be said for any league I'd imagine. Just look at the linesmen in the Flames game (Jay Shearers - sp??)

What Banff tourney?
We used to play in a Kelowna tourney in April, but aren't this year. It would be nice to find a tournament closer to home that I can get totally obliterated at and lose my equipment in the shower with strippers.

Please tell me that was you guys at NESS.
Looks like we'll probably shoot for the April 2 Banff Tourney as the one in mid-April is right during final exams for me.

Yep. We were a C team that got moved to D because of late registration, and those guys smoked us. It doesn't help that we showed up with 6 guys (3 of which were the worst players on our team) but still, those guys were knobs. Yelling out their numbers for goals and assists, screaming every time they scored, being total ######s.

Yep from what I recall they were the same way with us, they celebrated every goal like they'd won the stanley cup it drove me nuts, our other GM went so far as to email the league and say if we had to play them again we wouldn't show up. in 4 games against us they scored close to 46 goals against us.

You know the rules. Strippers and booze aren't allowed in the dressing rooms.
No man, that wasn't us at NESS. Why? Is there another team that puts the beer fund into peelers?

Alledgedly, NESS started cracking down on the booze after a team held a bachelor party in the dressing room, complete with keg and strippers in the showers.

Yeah, that's why they're so hardcore anti-drinking there. Apparently, it was a guy who was getting married, they brought in a keg and strippers ..... and then things got weird.

Can you drink lots and lots and not resort to attacking refs?
