That was also about 5 years ago. Maybe Kipper has changed his mind? I know my thoughts on things have changed a lot over the last 5 years.

Saw that on that's hockey. Their thinking 2nd or 3rd round pick in return. Flames need to push for a first if we're getting rid of Kipper with an extension

With the latest rumours out there, does anyone think Kipper's agent leaked he wouldn't report so that teams would ask to speak to him and then his camp could control if/where Kipper is moved? Kind of a sleazy move but also super smart on the part of himself and his client.

Dreger just said that Kipper has decided to stay with the Flames this season and then retire.

Trade him anyways. The return might not be much, but some team will take a flyer on him. He might change his mind in the summer. At least the flames will get something.
