However, I think it's probably close enough now.

Look at Steve Sullivan for a playing weight. Gaudreau is pretty much there using Sullivan as a comparable.

This will be Gaudreau's playing size, he's not going to get any bigger. 175 lb or 165 lb vs a 210 lb dman with a much bigger reach? the weight or couple inches aren't going to make much of a difference.

He will have to succeed with the size he has. Don't really care if he gets any bigger at all.

Who T-F cares about Gaudreau's size, the kid can play and play extremely well. I suspect this won't end because it's the NHL

I think Gaudreau could be alright for the NHL as he's a heads-up player & it seems to be very difficult for the big bruisers to lay him out with big hits. He's not crazy out there like Fleury was, but he's smooth & shifty like Dan Cleary or obviously St Louis.

I would hope that guys like Monahan & Jankowski pan out as well, so that we don't end up with a team of Hudlers, Cammalleris and Byrons when Gaudreau ends up on the scene.

I think that should be the long term goal for Gaudreau but I think he'd be fine around 165 or 170 to enter the league.
St. Louis is able to get his weight up due to the extreme amount of muscle in his legs. It would take a decade of weight training to get legs like that.

I think these rings are one of the few exceptions.

I'd think they'd have to be... I mean unless the NCAA expects it's athletes to pay for their own trophies (including Olympic Medals) there would have to be an exception.

That video makes it sound very much to me like he intends on turning pro after this year. That has been my expectation all along and obviously, as Flames fans, that would be excellent news.

If either the Flames (wishful thinking) or the Heat (quite possibly) are still playing when the Eagles are done, I would be very surprised if he didn't make the jump.

Even if not, I am very confident that he will be in Flames camp next year.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet on all three of Agostino, Arnold and Gaudreau signing pro contracts once their NCAA seasons conclude.

This is both Agostino's and Arnold's 4th year of NCAA hockey, so they would have to anyway.

I agree I feel the chances of him signing with the Flames in the off-season to be at least 95%.

BC finishes up on March 1, playoffs for two weeks to a month after that. If they don't make the Frozen Four, he could join the Flames prior to the end of the regular season.

This may be why the Flames are leaving so many contracts available. Aren't the Flames sitting at only 46 pro contracts?
