The Flames have been doing a lot wrong, and everything blew up last year under Sutter, AND THEY HAD THEIR 2 BEST PLAYERS LEAVE, and their 2 new best players have been awful, and they've had several players say they want out.

And the Oilers are STILL worse!

Yeah the Oilers are super fragile right now. They even mentioned it on the broadcast how important that first save was for Skinner after coming out so strong. Once the Canucks were able to get that first one, the Oilers fell apart and before you knew it, it was 3-1. They had a fortunate 2nd goal to make it close for a bit, but I don't think it was. It reminded me of Glue Gun hockey. There was a lot happening around, but nothing meaningful.

The rest are either legitimately good teams or they are average teams that have already beaten the oilers this season. This could keep getting worse for the oilers.

After Thursday they won't play a team that's below them in the standings again until April 15th.

Wyshynski has always been the worst hockey reporter. I tried to follow him, but he might be the most abrasive and self-righteous of them all.

At least Edmonton media either attempt to be genuine like Gene or must do so to get a paycheck.

Crazy to think that some lucky team is going to get their hands on the Oilers first round pick right away here in exchange for a hail-Mary attempt at turning their season around, which lets be honest will probably be another depth forward because, derp.

Imagine if the Oilers try and trade their first...but lottery protect it!

I imagine the reaction would be: "Hahahahaha....No."

Is it common for players to refer to officials using their first names in interviews? Because, I am pretty sure I just heard McHobo talking about "Kelly" when commenting about his penalty in a postgame scrum.

Such an entitled loser, that McDavid.

I know its early they get to play San Jose a bunch, but as right now McDavid is starting to pace to beat Huberdeaus largest point drop off in the NHL history.

That would be the cherry on top of them crumbling and missing the playoffs.

It’s hilarious that some people are so surprised. The oiler’s “success” has been solely based on their powerplay which has produced at crazy high levels over the last couple years. That’s why they struggled past the first round of the playoffs… the first round has just as many, if not more, powerplays than the regular season but penalty calls go down as teams go deeper into the playoffs. Which you instantly see become a struggle for the oilers. They were manhandled by Vegas at 5-on-5 last year.

What we are seeing now is what they look like when their powerplay is not elite… a terrible team.

Has anyone figured out what McDavid's iniury is? There was some talk of it before the HC game, but I haven't heard anything since.

Really surprises me how bad he is playing.

The one that blew my mind, is when Monster truck guy said that powerplay goal scored by the second unit was a first in a long time. Apparently they second unit didn't score one last season.

It goes without saying that them matching their historically high PP% was going to be hard to replicate. The were at 1.09 PPG per game last year, which is ridiculous. The other teams that ran at around 25% PP efficiency were closer to .79 PPG per game.

My god, if you're going to have a McTantrum... drop the gloves. If that's not going to happen, then play your way out of the hole. Complete joke of a captain.
