I did find almost every chick looked super hot when wearing a mask. Maybe your imagination filled in the blanks and you're, like, generous to what you can't see or something? Maybe most women manicure their eyebrows and put some make-up around their eyes and when that's all you have to go on it looks pretty good. Just me?

The success of Trump has certainly bred into a lot of politicians around the world that you don't need to follow the politician rulebook in order to be successful (that is, essentially pander to the middle). I'm sure that's why Danielle Smith is so much worse now. It's probably not that she has more extreme beliefs it's more that she feels like she can do more and get away with it.

I think also, when you look at 2012 the Wildrose were trying to take votes away from the PCs so they had to show that they were moving to the middle more directly than they do now when there's only two real party alternatives.

I don't think Smith has a strategy based on Trump's success. I don't think she has a strategy at all. She's probably just an idiot and social media echo chambers and her radio show success have convinced her that her own stupid opinions are good and valuable. It's as simple as that. Dumb person says dumb things because she don't that know she's dumb.
