The Ted Lindsay Award is awarded to the league's Most Outstanding Player as voted on by the members of the NHLPA. Auston Matthews won it for 2021-22.

Lol 9% is pretty far off of 70%.
Thanks for coming out though.
McDavid is just played up for the media by players because the players know it's what they want to hear. So they don't have to put any effort in by just agreeing and going along with the hype
But their real thoughts behind the scenes are obviously very different. There is a consensus that other players are more complete.
Which is absolutely true. McDavid bleeds goals against when he's on the ice, and often huge back breaking ones. (cause he lost his man, or quit on the play/stopped skating).

I hate that any of you have us defending McDavid. But if you're going to post that link, do you think it may be a little dishonest to leave out the question of:
- "If you need to win one game, who is the one skater you would want on your team?" - McDavid won the vote, handily, with 42.4%. The next highest was Crosby at 17.3%

Interesting. I suspect it's just our bias as a rival fanbase that would want to say the McAvi isn't elite. To me it's not even open for discussion but alas, here we are.
To me, he's absolutely elite. He is far and away better at certain aspects of the game than anyone else.
He's AN elite player in this league but, to me, not THE elite player in this league. If I can start from scratch and build a team around one player, he is never going to be that guy to me.

If the league did a complete re-draft I'm pretty sure McDavid is going 1 or at minimum top 3. So if he's not elite, almost no one in the league is.
