Just imagine the building tension and descent into madness as the days go by. At first denial, people refuse to believe he’s not 100% for sure getting fired, the delay is simply because of GG’s recent travels to Sask. Then people start to get angrier and angrier the more time goes by. Then the bargaining will start where they try to justify and rationalize the delay, thinking Tre must be lining up a replacement and waiting for other dominos to fall. Then sad reality sets in and they realize he’s not getting fired and we skip right over depression and acceptance and go straight back to anger. Red hot anger. Forum-wide meltdown anger.
It’s gonna be a wild ride.

Does Tre’s dad still own Boston Pizza? We could organize a boycott and force his dad to make Tre fire GG.

I’ve already been boycotting them for years because of their terrible food.

You leave the Boston Brute alone! But yeah everything else is pretty blegh.
I remember when Pasta Tuesdays were a staple because of how good it used to be. Not so much anymore.

I am a big fan of the Big Dipper. Wings are pretty good too. Tasty pizza, but insanely overpriced

Yeah theres way better pizza at their price point. Boneless wings are great. OH! They have actual legit Blue Cheese dip which is amazing.

I still think pasta tuesday is a solid deal. I am from Humboldt, and when we finally got a Boston Pizza a few years ago, it was a pretty big deal because there was a place other than 7/11 where you could get decent food late at night lol

I must admit I am starting to get worried by the lack of action, if the GM fails to sack GG I would hope the owners would step in. If they have too then I would also see the GM going as well. I am almost of the opinion that the GM should go anyway as there have been too many mistakes of late, giving up what he did for a 2nd line defenceman who had just come off a couple of poor seasons was completely stupid. The fact he held onto GG after yet another poor start, he should of had the balls to pull the plug and bring in somebody to play a different style so that he could then at least evaluate the team in a different system. It has lost him another season really.

I don't want to see Treliving canned. I would definitely start to question his ability as a GM if he keeps Gulutzan. If we keep him and later down to road head he never even talked to AV or D.Sutter then fire him immediately.

I'm not really sure what the big dilemma here is. What's there to lose exactly?
We're pretty much already in Gilbert/Playfair/Hay territory. Short of a coach running a Marc Savard out of the organization, I'm not sure how it could get worse. Is he going to find a coach whose team craters halfway through the season instead of the last quarter? A coach with a powerplay that's worse than 29th? An even less entertaining on-ice product to turn even more hardcore fans away? A coach that will wait till game 70, instead of 50, to put their most offensive d-man on the first pp?
I'm just not really seeing the issue here. Never mind the fact that there are guys like Vigneault and Sutter on the market, I think at this stage you could take any semi-respectable assistant coach in the NHL and get the result this coaching staff achieved this year with this lineup.

1. Spicy Perogy Pizza is fantastic. As is the Brute.
2. Is Edmonton having another presser today?
3. Studies show its best to let someone go on a Friday.
4. I may have made that last stat up.

I think you are actually right though, because then they have a weekend to spend time with people and not just sit alone all week.
I also may have made this up.

Is there actually a good case for AV as coach?
I'm not talking about the anybody is better than Gulutzan thing, so please don't.
Is Vigneault a guy we would actually want?

I think he's stuck between determining whether its the coaches or the players. Which still seems like an easy call. Can't get rid of 20 players, etc. But it might be more granular than that, He might be worried over 2-3 players that he thinks could be moved/replaced with people that could execute better. Is it a skill deficiency like he suggested? All those shot chances they couldn't capitalize on. If he thinks the players are all better than they showed, then maybe its how they're being instructed to play. No traffic, one and done approach to shooting in the slot. They shoot, they miss, they circle back and exit the zone.
