He obviously meant our game on Sunday.

Tomorrow could be a tough game, Union is 14-0-1 in their last 15.
Friday vs. Winnipeg isn't totally out of the question. Especially with the game being an early one tomorrow.

Screw the Jets game. I want John and Bill to end their college careers with a glorious championship victory. More winners coming to join our current stable of winners.

Wouldn't mind it either way. But it's not a slam dunk, as Union took them out last time. Going to need a big game from the top trio.

Very tough. BC is the underdog:

It's out of the question IMO. Hobey Baker is given out in Johnny's home turf Friday night

Not to mention that it'd be silly for you to throw a lie out there... that would be disproven in 4 days.
Totally buying this, and beyond jacked. Thanks for sharing man!

I think it's fairly well known that Johnny doesn't have the upmost care for individual awards. The other two finalists are in the pros now and may not even be in attendance (though not like they need to be). I wouldn't put it entirely out of question.
My hunch would definitely be on Sunday, though. If Burke says so, then obviously they've had conversions in the past week or so and it's pretty much a done deal in waiting.

Disagree on the first point, but agree on the second. Winning it that close to home has gotta count for something. The other two finalists would've had to wait weeks, and they know they aren't winning it

Agree with the Sunday call, but I suspect if it was his choice he'd rather play a game than pick up an award and give a speech.

Wait... if he finishes his NCAA season, then signs a contract... he can't accept an award for his completed season?

What PeteMoss (among others) is saying is that if Johnny and co. are eliminated tonight, there is a chance he'd be right on a flight to make the Sunday game against Winnipeg. So instead of accepting his award at the ceremony tomorrow, he'd be playing in an NHL game. He's winning the Hobey Baker regardless of any career decisions he makes in the next 24 hours.

Papi isn't one to make stuff up. (whattup bud? long time!)
In my mind, this news + Conroy speaking pretty matter of factly about Johnny's future is pretty damn exciting. Can't wait to see him and Arnold on Sunday!

Haha very long time!
If anyone doubts the rumor AC can back me as hes seen the evidence in itself. Anyways stoked that Johnny may be here to finish out the season. As with any rumor things can most definitely change but im feeling pretty good about this one from the horses mouth!

I seriously thought the Hobey Baker award was going to be given out tomorrow (the 11th). Which means Gaudreau can collect his award and play his games and sign and play in Van no problem.

It is. The scenario that could prevent him from attending the ceremony would be losing today, signing immediately, then being put in the lineup for tomorrow's game against Winnipeg.

In that case, I don't think he would play tomorrow but join the team after and get a practice in before the Vancouver game.
If I were the Flames, I'd let him have that day.

Agreed, it was the same for Colborne, Agostino, Van Brabant. Might be tough to sell that to some of the rabid fans though haha.
