Nope I've seen them this year and it is still the same group of crap that they have for the past 4-5 years.

May have got some lucky results early on but not much there in terms of talent and a moron for a manager.

Classy, as always.

What has Rodgers done to suggest to you that he is a moron?

Not sure what class has to do with anything when talking about the scum that is Liverpool.

I would say pretty much anytime he opened his mouth last year on Being Liverpool, in particular his 3 envelopes garbage and his love affair with Jon Jo Shelvy. Throw in his poor transfers brought in and crappy line-ups and he has shown plenty of times that he is a moron.

His love affair? He played him a few games and then sold him.

Rodgers' envelope thing was cheesy, but he has acted with nothing but class since arriving at Liverpool. He has them playing flowing, attacking football that is fun to watch. His man management has also been great, and he's managed to get the best out of all types of players, from Suarez, to Sterling, to even Downing.

The only transfer that hasn't worked out thus far has been Borini, and he is still a young player who has value.

Rodgers has a long way to go before himself or Liverpool are considered among the best, but so far he's done all the right things and deserves every chance to get there.

you know a series of posts is seriously messed up when a die-hard United fan like me feels the urge to defend Liverpool ... ugh

not surprised and I am torn

I think he's a good manager but he has made some strange decisions with tactics this year that he wasn't making last year and losing 5-0 at home is not acceptable (as a 1 off it's not a problem but when you factor in 6-0 at City and 3-0 vs West Ham it starts to add up)

the betting favorites right now are Capello, Laudrup, De Boer, Pochettino

Top 4 is still 5 points away with 22 games left, plenty of time left

Rob Harris ‏@RobHarris
Spurs replace AVB with 3 - Tim Sherwood, Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand take charge of the team "whilst the Club progresses discussions"

imagine it's just West Ham in the cup wednesday

that's something where I am starting to believe that he must have had a really good assistant at Porto or something ... his two PL spells haven't been all that convincing. And it's not like he had nothing to work with, he has had plenty of great player material available during both tenures. Simply not enough given the squads he had.

Looking at that short list of candidates, I'd be happy for Laudrup or Pocchettino to get that chance. Two quality managers who have a modern approach and who have produced some great results with their teams.

I think Bale covered up for a lot of his flaws.

I dont know if that's AVB's fault though

that was a team that had lost it's 3 best players in 12 months (Modric, King, VdV)

AVB built the team around Bale because he had too, we didn't have an attacking playmaker

I think if this team had time to settle he could have grown in to it and put in his system, but it wasn't happening quick enough and this team is good enough for top 4 this season, with United going through a mess there's really no excuse

I don't think this club/individual rivalry will be repeated for a long time. Good days.

Who was the best manager you've ever played for?:

Viera: "Arsene Wenger"

Keane: "Bryan Clough"

thanks for posting that. Always loved Keane as a player, always hated him as a person ... nothing has changed, he's still a prick.

When he was playing I never really minded him as a person as I assumed that it was just his no nonsense attitude as a professional.

But, now it appears that he has a lot of issues and unresolved grudges. For such a sucessful career he really is quite the miserable git. Martin O'Neill is going to have his hands full with him.
