We were at my son's minor hockey tournament in edmonton this weekend, all games were at the ice rink at west edmonton mall. We had one game at 8:45 pm on saturday night. Has anybody ever been to west edmonton mall at 9pm on a saturday night? I don't ever recommend it. The amount of drug addicts, creeps, 'dirty hands clean money shirts' and dirty sweatpants was concerning. We kept the kids close by...

If you have a 4-2 lead halfway through the second period and go on to lose the game 6-5 in regulation time, you are:
[ ] A - No Good
[ ] B - No Good
[ ] C - No Good
[ ] D - All of the Above

Yet somehow I expect the Bruins to play clean, penalty free hockey tonight.

And then Thursday they will be the most penalized team in the league.

What a typical Oiler game. McDavid pops for 3 points, but is a minus and they lose a high scoring game.

I know we are only a little over a third of the way through the season but these are Tim Hunter's penalty minutes alone back in the day lol.

Walked by a bus shelter downtown Calgary and there was a Crown Royal ad that said "team over trophy" and had some hockey players there. I did a google search and couldn't find it, but that has to be the most Oiler thing ever. Well, besides the team aspect. Would be fun to photoshop 97 and 29 on the players.

It's always surprising that in this day of statistics being available for everything nobody really breaks down penalty stats to show how officials call the games for all the teams as there are always going to be biases as officials are human.

Oh sweet summer child. Those people are there 24/7. It's just more noticeable at night because the normal ish people have mostly gone home. Normalish because most actual normal people in Edmonton (jokes incoming) won't go near West Edmonton Mall for a substantial amount of money, especially at this time of year.

93% of which were in the form of 5 and 10 minute offsetting penalties
