I doubt Sutter would accept a coaching job with that tire fire of a team. He thought he had a crappy time with the Flames last season? The Oilers' organizational issues go much, much deeper. They're easily the worst run franchise in pro sports, and I don't see them getting better any time soon.
Maybe if he was offered the GM position.

McDavid looks uninterested at best, and like a worn out gear at worst. Maybe all those games playing 40 minutes a night have caught up to him.
Draisaitl is really starting to look pissy, I heard he slapped a hotdog out of a kids hand and told another kid that offered him a pepsi to go F himself.
I laughed at the start of the year with the Oilers Stanley Cup glorification. Anyone with half a brain, and a screaming case of potato headitis would look at that team and say, "no depth, a bad blueline and the worst goaltending tandom in the NHL, what are they talking about?"
Like I said the biggest shock is that McDavid has looked so meh. Maybe he's pissed that nobody bought a cake and present to his Captain's skate.
