This bums me out, but not unexpected. Really, the only standout Dragon Age game was Origins - and the series has just never really done an Origins Part 2. Each time they make a game like this, they go off random paths and make a game that no one really wanted.

At least we got Baldur's Gate 3 (which I still haven't finished, but it's quality is pretty much undeniable). Maybe I'll give this a shot when it hits EA Play (via GamePass), but probably not.

I played the demo on Steam and it wasn't bad.

It’s not near as bad as a few diehards say

Most reviews are mostly positive . The graphics are a bit weird , and faces don’t move during dialogue .

The pointless bad dialogue is minimal , and battles - while a little button mashing - is more fun then it looks

It’s isn’t really a dragon age game per se - but has some fun aspects

The new Asmungold review actually sums it up good - a lot better than expected based on a few hardcore reviews . 7ish .

I could see deeper into the game it getting repetitive and annoying for a hardcore hammering out 50 hrs in 5 days

But playing a quest for a few hrs and relaxing with a decent story it’s good- also apparently the ending / last few hrs is as good as any game has done

The gaming community is just so toxic. I don't like EA at all but this game is getting was more hate than it deserves.

yeah, it's painful. It's not limited to gaming, but it's always felt extra toxic to me and it pisses me off to no ends too.

The walking simulator, Death Stranding to Xbox and Luna Today

Almost exactly 5 years after initial release on PS4 may hint at a exclusivity deal. Also Kojima Productions announced they have acquired the IP from Playstation, this opens DS2 to be released on other platforms next year if there is no exclusivity deal in place.

Goobergate really brought the scumbags to the light. Seems like any game that’s not populated exclusively with straight white males and cartoonishly buxom women gets review bombed and hated. Weird bunch of nerds for sure.

Kind of a weird situation, one assumes that it wasn't an "exclusivity deal" and moreso that it was straight up funded and published by Sony which is why it was exclusive (including using one of their in-house game engines). The publisher of the Xbox release is listed as 505 Games though, not Sony, so they must've indeed given the rights back to Kojima Productions to do whatever they want with it.

But then DS2 is once again being published by Sony, so who knows what will happen there.

Just played through the Black Ops 6 campaign, it was pretty fun. I guess probably because the campaigns have been such trash that it's a low bar, but it kept me entertained.

Not worth paying $$ for but it's part of Game Pass so yeah.
