If you’re not extremely obese, rocking around in a Rascal with an oxygen tank attachment, you might tempt a few to swipe left despite the baldness.

I also understand that it isn't nearly as easily consumed in the format it's given to us -- the Federal report you linked is nice and easy to find all the information you want without hopping between umpteen bloody PDFs -- but it's just too many years out of date to really be compelling.

I mean even with just a cursory clicking around, you can see the CPS report showing Violent Crime is down 2% over the 5 year trend, and that's not even per capita.

What was it Smith was saying she wanted from Imperial Oil? Radical transparency?
Quote:
The Alberta government waited a month before calling an emergency response to one of the biggest releases of oilsands tailings in the province’s history, a leaked document shows.
The document, obtained by The Canadian Press, shows the province didn’t initiate an emergency response until after First Nations chiefs in the area went public about how they were informed of the releases from Imperial Oil’s Kearl mine, about 70 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alta.

Maybe my whole thing will be to make baldness the new red hat. Could start nudging into skinhead territory, though, so not sure I want any part of that.

If you scroll down on the webpage you'll see that back in 2000, in the good ol' days under King Ralphie that conservatives reminisce about, the corporate tax rate was 15.5% and the small business rate was 6%.

They aren't news reporters, they are propagandists spreading misinformation. It'd take a pretty big fool to think these people present news, and to interpret it as such.

Which actually isn’t a terrible solution around key pieces of public transportation infrastructure. It doesn’t solve the problem but it mitigates a problem. Now that problem is generally one of perception rather than real risk but you have to make policy for how people actually behave and not should behave.
So if moving problems away from transit via more police officers makes people feel safer on transit and increases ridership which in turn makes people feel safer it isn’t the worst idea.

She did vote in favour of defunding the police which reduced the police budget by $20 million.
So did Nenshi and 7 other councillors. It’s clearly not misinformation. She’s the mayor of a major Canadian city. It’s pathetic she can’t respond on her own voting record.

There wasn't a question there for her to answer. If the "reporter" hadn't loved the smell of their own #### so much, they might have been able to rattle off one or two actual questions she could answer. Instead, they went on their own diatribe and finished it with a EXPLAIN WHY. No one is answering that in a public forum setting- it would be foolish. This way the "reporter" is the one who looks on the balance stupid.
Now, Gondek does look like a moron for participating in this at all IMO. Waffle waffle. Should have just steered clear, might have been able to smack premier on the head with a shovel on the way by by discussing lack of engagement with local police prior to funding. She's not good at playing this game either, but truly no one is stupid enough to "answer" the "question" that "reporter" levied at her.

I thought the whole defund police was to move the money to social services. Shows how much I pay attention that they already voted and implemented (at least the defunding part) a while back.

Fake news is still news, it’s just fake. So a fake news reporter is still a news reporter, they’re just a fake news reporter
