I didn't have the patience to go through 40 pages of thread, but I just bought Ambiance and I have been sleeping like a log now! There's thousands of sounds, it's like having your own personal sound machine.

Best part is it has a timer which will even shut down the app when time's up. Awesome.

Also how is the dragons lair game, I loved that game.
Cant speak on the macbook info, but Dragons Lair and Space Ace are exactly the same as they used to be. It was like reliving my childhood with those campy 80's sounds.

System Preferences/Energy Saver Set for how long until the computer goes to sleep. Change to longer time.

You should also go into System Preferences/Security and check how long it is set to auto logout. Mine is 180 minutes.

btw the Mac genius said to disable the use secure virtual memory on the security page. Not necessary I guess.

Don't know about the full discharge thing for sure on the iphone but I seem to recall you don't but I am not sure. It discharges all the time anyways!!

The iPhone uses a lithium ion battery. Lithium Ion's will lose their capacity with every deep discharge, so charge often.

Better to charge it at half than at super low. These aren't Ni-Cad or Ni-MH that require those deep discharges every time, Lithium Ion cells don't develop a memory and will lose their capacity if you deep discharge.

What are you guys doing to drain the battery?!?

I have mine on 24 hours a day. Web surf 30 minutes. Listen to music for an hour on the headphones. Use light apps for 20 minutes. And I only use 1/4 charge in the run of a typical day.

What really drains my battery is if I'm watching "The Practice" to and from work, playing an intensive game or playing music over the speaker. But those things I would expect to drain the battery.

BTW - I have mentioned it in a couple threads here, but I really recommend LoseIt to anyone trying to lose weight. I've lost 87 pounds since starting to use it in June. There are many other similar stories on the LoseIt Facebook page.

Seriously? That's impressive.

Great multitasker app for the iphone! You need to jail break your iphone for this to work

Remember the Multifl0w app for iPhone which we posted about last month? Well a new multitasking app by the name of ProSwitcher has now been released, which outclasses multifl0w in each and every way possible. ProSwitcher is an iPhone app which allows switching between applications running in background in a beautiful Palm Pre style cover flow-like mode. It basically act as a graphical extension to the already popular app from Cydia called Backgrounder to present all opened apps in a tabbed view, similar to the view seen on Mobile Safari browser.

Thanks for suggesting this app. Downloaded it a couple of days ago and am enjoying using it so far. (Haven't noticed any difference yet though!) The app really does help you think about what you're eating for sure.

Thanks again.

I think the camera is pretty good. It needs light, but I wouldn't say high light.

Did you set the program to lose weight? If so, did you set it to 1 or 2 pounds per week? I set it to 2 pounds per week AND I try to be 3500 under that (3500 is one pound so basically trying to lose 3 pounds per week).

I tried the HNIC app and it seems really slow... plus the ads are annoying. I'd rather pay for the app than constantly seeing the MacDonalds ads.

I have it set for 2 pounds a week. Seems good so far. I just meant, other than tracking what i eat, my diet hasnt had to change much. I have been working out and dieting for 2 months with little to no change.

Stupid metabolism!

Extremely impressed with Lose It so far. It has it's flaws, but the database of food is very impressive and it's a great way to see what kind of eating habits you need to lose a few pounds. It's funny when you think you eat relatively well but suddenly you've maxed out before dinner. That's what I like to call a "red flag".

So just to confirm this, if I download the app, I'll be able to watch one live game per night? For the whole season?

I can't confirm that for you, because I had the MLB subscription. But I *think* you would be able to watch one game per night.

It does make sense. MLB.tv is cheap as is.

Also, is there some kind of app where I can put all my passwords to hotmail, Gmail, Flickr, etc, etc into a simple program, and whenever I want to go to a certain site I just have to punch in a keypad number or something?

I hate having to constantly re-enter my passwords on my iTouch, especially with numbers included.
