Anyone else using Tap Forms? http://www.tapforms.com/

I picked it up for a buck during the black friday sale - amazing little mobile database. Fully customizable too.

I was going to try it, but all I really wanted it for was a way to store sensitive info securely. 1Password Pro was free at the time (american thanksgiving) so I picked that one up. Using it with the companion Mac app, 1Password is an unstoppable force of awesome (for my needs). The app on it's own is cool, but if you have a mac I'd recommend picking up the $40 mac app.

Default New to iphone

I just switched from Blackberry to the iphone and I didn't realize that wasn't an application for Windows Live Messenger for iphone. I've been searching the net and heard of some different programs that seem to combine the windows messanger and yahoo and some other ones. I was wondering what some of you may recommend that I get for my phone so I can use Windows Live.

Also if you have any good must have apps that you can recommend I am all ears.

Anyone know about the Dragon NaturallySpeaking app on the iPhone? It's a program for dictating notes, letters, emails, etc. It converts the dictation into type.

I heard it was available but I found out it's only available on the U.S. store. Is there a way around this or might it be in Canada soon? It's free now, but not available here.

I think WhatsApp is MUCH better than Ping, and directly tied to your address book. So you just need the person's number, and not some silly username that you can't change.

I use Beejive ($10) and have found it to be pretty solid. It works with Live. I've also heard good things about Trillium ($5).

Well if it helps - I met the developer of Tap Forms. He's a local Calgarian

This worked for me about 3 months ago, hopefully the loop hole hasn't been fixed yet:

Create a second gmail account first, as that will serve as your login ID for the US account. Also, google-find some random (but legit) US address complete with zip code, and a regional phone number before starting.

Now Here's the link telling you how to do it. Be sure to follow it exactly as it says, or else there won't be the "none" credit card payment option.

Oh cool, that does help. I'll give it a shot, I like supporting the locals.

Wait... is he cool?

+1 to the Beejive recommendation. It's really the only one you need.

Should post a quick recommendation for Apple's MobileMe service.

Noticed on the bus this morning that I didn't have my phone with me and assumed that I must have forgotten it at home.

When speaking with the wife a couple of hours later she said that she couldn't find the phone in the likely spots where I might have forgotten it. I loaded up MobileMe chose 'find my iPhone' and was able to guide her down the back lane until she found where the phone had been dropped into a snowbank.

Certainly worth the $100 or so i paid for the service.

Monoprice is the answer. I bought power cords for work, the truck and a couple extra just in case. Everywhere I am I am near a cord and plug it in. Well worth the $10 in cords. You can get wall plug ins, usb and car plug ins.

If anyone plays Settlers of Catan the app is very good. It plays well and the AI seems okay. If you like the game it is well worth the price.

Also, not an iphone app but I tried tuneUp for organizing and renaming your itunes library and find cover art. It seems to work really well. The free trial allows 100 song lookups, $19.95 per year or $29.95 lifetime.

I found it only really uses the battery if you look at Donkey pron. For some reason that really uses the juice.

Every time I hear somebody rip on mobileme I can't help but think of this feature and the ease of online shareable photo galleries. Less than $10/month? Easy decision for me, and that's not including how it keeps my contacts and calendars synced between all my devices.

Just get power cords at Future Shop. They're only like $9285192875 each.
