i remember hardly any powerplays in the playoffs in the 90's, playoffs are supposed to be an even strength war, if it's no different than regular season gameplay, what's the point? i used to love playoffs

Playoffs under Bettman rules is pretty bad. No touchy touchy or it's a penalty. Same goes for regular season.

Worse, Bettman rules is to manage games and series to try and make them as close as possible. That is why so many PP's were awarded to the Grease here in the 1st while they got away with several uncalled penalties.

Sure, but 1:50 of every PP all game long. I guess Woody has to play them that much because his garbage team does sweet #### all without at least one of them on the ice.

It isn't that, it's that teams don't want to hit him because no matter how clean you execute that hit you are getting a penalty for it. So you just feed a team that relies on PP goals by physically engaging McDiver.
