I think King is doing exactly what is expected at this point of the negotiation.

Yeah, and the Flames argument is, that if you get a nice district with a hotels, an office building, retail, those property taxes and other economic benefit from developing an area that exists and is used whether there is an event or not, will more than pay the city the property tax $ the Flames are asking for from the city as a partner. West Village or East Village...and the East Village has taken decades (remember the concepts of waterways?) and many interations and it’s still the Bell Music Center and....?

Labeling him as a shill is the weakest form of argument existing.

New Era has consistently twisted himself into a pretzel to make this the city's fault no matter what , short of the city just giving the flames a new rink he basically thinks it's a bad idea. If that's his position then we have all heard enough.

No, the Edmonton deal is a massive gift. The city deal is an attempt at a fair compromise, it just comes up short when you have the Edmonton deal to use as comparison.
