I'm sure that it's been said before, but not having Buerhle available as a long man out of the pen in favour of Tepera was a huge mistake. I haven't read everything on here, does anyone know why Loup is unavailable?

Yeah I'm still trying to figure that one out. What was Gibby thinking?

Well then enjoy losing again.
If you can't adapt you lose.

Family. I'm assuming someone is not well, as he was also away for game 4-5 against the Rangers, IIRC.

No, if you panic and stray from what makes you successful, you lose.
I'm not saying swing for the fences, I'm saying have good ABs, just like they did all season.

What makes them successful gotten them into a 1-3 hole.
Look, all I am saying is when you have guys swinging for the fences instead of trying to put up runs in the playoffs its not going to end well. The pitching is too good.

Gibbons entire management of the bullpen has been a total joke. He had an opportunity to pick up another lefty after the Rangers series and chose to leave it at status quo. Now Loup is gone again and the Jays are again without a lefty in the bullpen. The guy is a dinosaur.

Atta boy Estrada! Get the win today and we have pitching that's capable of being lights out for game 6 and 7.

I've said this a few times since Cecil went down, but people aren't reading it apparently.
The guy they brought in to replace Cecil (Tepera) was actually the next best option as a "lefty specialist". He's a rare righty that has reverse splits and actually fares far better against lefties than any other option the Jays would have had. Buerhle does not pitch lefties well, at all. An argument CAN be made for Buerhle to have been picked as a long relief option, but not as a Cecil replacement for left-handed batters, he would have been the absolute wrong choice.

could someone run into their dugout and knock around their bats to maybe WAKE THEM UP!!! holy hell, Estrada is doing exactly what he needs to do to start with here. Now the offence needs to pick him up!

Estrada so far having the Jays exactly what they needed. On his game and just as important, pitch count low. 22 through 2.

Estrada will have to be good. The umps are gifting Volquez with a ridiculous strike zone again.
