Looking at how the Oilers play in their own end, and how they really really quit in the 3rd period of that game, you have to wonder if they have quit on Pugsly.
I mean its not hard to coach the Oilers. Designate your starting goalie, they're both terrible so its not a hard choice.
And oil the gate latch which McDavid and Draisaitl decide on the line changes.
But outside of a brief period at the end of last year, the Oilers have never seemed to be interested in playing anything but a me first and its for my stats style of games.
Bouchard is a prime example of that. McDavid and Draisaitl the same things.
And the Oilers can fire the coach and bring in a new one but it'll be the same thing unless they bring in a authoritarian destroy the country club coach, but then Draisaitl and McDavid will pout and probably leave.
I've always said that McDavid and Draisaitl were duh picks, but at times I question the character and motivations of both players.

Tried to make Anaheim as a PTO and couldn't manage that, so he's done. Good riddance to one of the scummiest players I've ever seen. He played for the two no good franchises for most of his career too. Glad to see someone who was a borderline psychopath never play an NHL game again.
