I was also very very wrong Matthew you are a great player probably top 6 in the NHL. Of course you didn't show up for us in the playoffs no one does.
I hope the Panthers win it all.

Maybe Calgary needs to build up their players instead of holding them back..The Panthers showed they believed in Chucky and now he is going to the wall for them. Same idea with Bennett, he likely never felt the Flames believed in him.
Tkachuk did a lot of good things here but maybe we don't get behind them enough.

He's getting 20 plus minutes of ice time.
It's something most teams do give stars the ice time to shine.

Ullmark was awesome all season but his time was split with Kinkaid pretty well, someone mentioned he only started 3 in a row once all season, tired would be my guess.

If he's tired after splitting starts all season that's not a good look for him.
This Bruins team is starting to remind me of the Warriors historic team who had trouble getting to the finals and lost a 3-1 lead.

I remember when Tkachuk was supposedly chastised for going balls out every game after the Muzzin incident. Or was that just a rumour? Maybe the Flames need more of that kind of intensity.

Player says he doesn't want to be in Calgary and gets out as fast as he can, somehow people cheer for him.

The rumour was that the team told him to tone it down and that not every game had to be a riot. Screw that, of course it does. Asking him to not play his game was dumb. His style is entertaining and it wins.

Normally I'm with you, but I can't fault Tkachuk at all for wanting out. This is not a team right now that appreciates or rewards skilled play.

I don't blame him either. But there is a big difference between not blaming him, and cheering for him.

He's been my favourite player in the league for a few seasons now. It's not my fault this team screwed around to the point where its two highest skilled players took off the first chance they got.

I wasn't cheering for him before. I didn't even really like him that much when he played for the Flames, and I still don't find him all that likable. That said, a young guy taking the ambitious route and stepping up to exceed anything he has done before and lead his team when they've needed it most is the kind of thing that sports is about. It has made this series great to watch.
Also, the evident chemistry between him and Bennett as two guys who came through the same experience in their early years and have brought that friendship onto the ice is cool to watch. It's a bit reminiscent of the purple Gatorade days.
There's plenty to cheer for in that.

This is how I feel pretty much, I didn't particularly like the player do to his antics but it's hard to not be impressed by his will to win. Also all the nonsense comes when he gets frustrated because the team isn't winning and he tries to do anything really to change course. It's not like he's an ####### just to be an #######, I think it's very calculated.
Also the chemistry with Bennett was there from day one. They pretty much know exactly what the other will do, kind of reminds me of Barkov-Huberdeau connection from the past.

Yep. There was something special with that kid. If you have a 30 year old or older that can't handle playoff pressure thats one thing. This isn't lightning in a bucket. Hes good. Probably just needed a few rounds to figure it out.

Calgary may as well get Barkov also. Somewhere in the middle is just fine I guess.
