I had an appointment at certiguard to put my winters on but it was a week later, and the tires that came on the car itself were summer tires that were in really really bad shape, I had no choice to but put them on otherwise I would have driven into a lamp post

Oh well, can't please everyone!

Wait a second. You consider your car to be cheap yet it's worth three times what the other dude's Mazda 3 is worth. We've pegged that car at $13,000 used or $20,000 new, which means your "cheap" car is between $39,000 and $60,000.
It does sound a little douchy to suggest any car in the $39 - $60K range is cheap. And don't you live with your parents or something, anyway? Did they buy it for you? lol

No I don't live with my parents, but thanks for coming out.
In the BIG picture $45K for a car is not a lot of money. Like I said 'cheap' was the wrong word where 'inexpensive' fits better. If $50K is 'expensive' then where does that put someone who is driving around a $150K Porsche?
Am I a spoiled child? Yes. Do I pay for my own car? Yes.
Try talking about stuff you know about and don't make things up just to be funny. lol

Even if I owned a $90,000 MB SLK55 AMG, I wouldn't consider a $60,000 car to be cheap. No matter how rich you are, $60,000 does not buy you a cheap car; it buys you a higher-end car or at the very least an above-average car. No matter what your economic position, $60,000 car aren't cheap cars.
And that goes double for guys that live with their mom still.

It cracks me up that if you're under 30 and drive a nice car your parents must have bought it. Some people have good jobs and can buy nice vehicles at a young age. I was 23 when I bought a brand new diesel truck with my own money. It boils down to what your priorities are.

Thats just ridiculous. Its all perspective. If you drive a car worth $150,000 wouldnt $60,000 be a bargain by comparison?

I must also live with my mom still because I drive a nice car at the age of 26.

Do you normally not know what you are talking about? Or is this a special case?

Usually when a 23 year old owns a very expensive vehicle it is because (a) their parents bought it for them, (b) they are dumb and went into crazy debt on an asset that is depreciating like mad, or (c) their parents cover a bunch of their other expenses (like living, entertainment, vacations, etc.) giving them the illusion they bought the car themselves, when really it was their parents' indirect help that allowed them to buy the car.
FYI, if you have a large debt on your car, you don't actually own it.
I also know there are exceptions and young people can make some good money and buy nice things. These people are not the norm and shouldn't be surprised if people assume they belong to A, B or C category. (If this were me I would find it annoying, but what can you do? lol)

Dude, if you live in a house your parents own, even if they don't live there, you're still sucking on their teet.

I guess I'm abnormal.. FYI most people either lease or finance their vehicles, even expensive ones. But I'm sure you're the exception that pays cash for everything

Riiiiight so me paying rent to a stranger makes me more independent than paying rent to my parents. What a pathetic life you live if you measure things that way.
Personally I would rather be paying rent to family (which goes to a house I could some day own) than paying some random guy to help him with his mortgages.
I guess I just look at things differently than you. Just because your parents didn't love you doesn't mean you have to hate the rest of us that were.

I'll be doing the same to see if you always make up things to prove your point. I guess it does make it easier to prove a point when you can just talk out your ass about stuff you don't know about.

I said you live with your parents and you corrected me. You don't live with your parents, you just live in their house. Not that big a difference, my friend. I'll bet you pay full fair-market rent, too.
Just to clarify, none of this is bad to me. I plan on buying a house for my kids to live in when they go to University. Have them fill it with their friends and let those guys pay the mortgage. My kids can live for free if they pack enough people into the house. Badda-bing.
Where you have opened your self up to criticism, IMO, is acting like Mr. Moneybags and putting people down who may have less familial money than you seem to have. I've heard you been called a ###### in this thread - I don't want to get personal like that, but when you act like a big shot don't be surprised when you get called on it.

Totally OT, but there's a very nice loophole you have with this. Take money out of their RESP, have your kids pay you rent with that money.
Bing bam boom. You get their RESP money.
