Random Thought #2 : I am wildly amused by pretending to confuse Nova Scotia with Newfoundland/PEI/New Bruswick to one of my friends who is from Nova Scotia. Every so often, I will post on her facebook "How are things in Newfoundland" or Charlestown or something, and I always get the same "I am going to crush you with my pinky, California" reply back... yet, I still laugh every time she posts that.
(Note to RT#2 : I think someone on CP once mentioned that they saw a cute girl hosting the CF military stuff at the Stampede and thought about hitting on her. I was somewhat amused by that as well... I should send her that post)

I don't understand why anyone thinks HOOT is a ######.
I've seen a couple comments about that over the last couple weeks.

I'd feel even more strange using 'Dear' in job related correspondence.

I really don't want to know how you are choosing your roommate.

Some of my friends went on a Friday night, they said it was a good time. Although I remember them saying they all felt old, so might have been a younger crowd.

Only young people go anywhere or do anything called 'retro'.
People who are old enough to remember the first time avoid that crap like the plague.

If you're over 20 years old and still live with your parents, that is sad.

However if I'm living with your mom . . . or sneaking through the window or whatever that makes me cool.

You're right, older people make smart, educated, and mature decisions. Like confessing to a bunch of strangers on the interwebz how much you love you girlfriend.

Yup, went a couple weeks ago. Pretty damn sweet. Upstairs they mix top forty and downstairs is 90's music. Which is pretty unreal. Lots of bars (big one downstairs, main one upstairs, shooter bar, and a smaller one a couple steps above the main floor) for the number of people that are inside. Only thing that I'd complain about are the bathrooms (I think there's like...4 toilets, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs) for the dudes. They're very compact. The other thing is that you've gotta go downstairs, through to the far end (although it's not that big) and go back up another set of stairs to get to the smoking area. Oh, one other thing that's nice is that it's 8 bucks to get in, and that includes coat check.
All in all, it's pretty cool. A lot like the Amsterdam Rhino and HiFi. And if you hate Vinyl, HiFi is right next door.

You must think a lot of NA is sad then.
The numbers are actually getting higher and higher because people can't afford to move out with housing prices and cost of post secondary.
I was just reading an article about this and some crazy number like 60-80% of people under 21 or 25 or something still live at home.
Actually now that I think of it I only know 3 people that live on their own and they live together, and that is because one of the girls parents gave her their condo and they pay very low rent. My sister moved out but she's up to her eyeballs in debt and has graduated with a Master's degree so she makes decent money.
Over 30 and it is definitely sad.

What if you live in a home owned by your parents but you don't live WITH them? Is that still sad?
If so I'm sad.

Nah that's fine, not many people actually own the place they live in anyway. Now if your mom still does your laundry you need a swift kick to the ass.
