That was way over the top. As already mentioned, a 20-30 second tirade is understandable, but that? TBQH, I only listened to the first minute or so, then clicked forward to see if they were talking or if he was still yelling. He was pretty much saying the same thing and still yelling.
To whom does that ever get a message across properly? It's not like the guy crashed an ocean liner into a dock.
Just way over the top, totally ridiculous. He sounds like a complete moron.

There's a backstory to this that everyone here isn't seeing. Aint it Cool news had someone on the set who saw the whole thing.
Apparently this guy was notorious for messing with the lights when actors are filming. So Bale asked repeatedly that no one is to mess with the lights or walk into the scene, especially a very emotional scene. Well, this guy not only didn't listen, but seemed to provoke Bale into it.
Being rich doesn't give you the right to be a head.
If you treat people poorly just because you can "get away with it" -- that's the definition of the word that rhymes with gashole.
I wonder if he's learned any lesson here. If you treat people badly, they'll respond in kind. They might, ironically enough, release an embarrassing recording of you acting like a spoiled child.
I didn't mean it like that. What I meant is that if I was rich enough to not have to worry about working ever again, I'd be a lot more tempted to call out people who treat me poorly, whether it's being an a-hole or just plan incompetent, then I would right now.
I wouldn't treat people poorly regardless of my status but I might be more likely to return the favour when people treat me poorly.
Funny thing is, by all accounts Ramsey is one of the nicest people around. It's all a show.
I don't think it's a show. It's just that people act differently when they're in a restaurant kitchen because that's what's expected in that environment.
And didn't Ramsey get a little too nice with a woman who wasn't his wife?
Blaster, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the name of this thread.
My first reaction to all of this, especially in light of the information regarding the scene they were actually shooting, is to say that while I don't think it was warranted, I can definitely see how it could happen. Actors need to be incredibly focused when they work. There isn't just an "acting switch" that you can turn on and off at will when the cameras are rolling. Even the smallest scenes take at least a little bit of preparation and investment, and someone ruining a scene could definitely set someone off, like it did Bale.
