Being a fan of Blizzard, I've always loved their April fools jokes. They are really elaborate, funny and ,for the most part, you know that they are just for fun.

Right now, on the air on the Team 1040, we are telling listeners that Brian Burke is being considered to light the Olypmic Flames in 2010. People are totally falling for it!! It's awesome, the outrage is hilarious.

To their credit, last I heard 84% of respondents were unhappy with the decision.

With the time you spend on OOT Threads each day it wouldn't be too surprising!

Fair enough, that doesn't mean people didn't believe it. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of people who called in and knew about the joke, but the amount of emails we got of people pissed off was unreal. We usually get between 20-30 emails every morning. Today, we had at least over 100.

No joke.

One of our implementation people was let go today, and her first reaction was to laugh and say April Fools day right.

there was a pretty long silence before that question was answered.

I wish, for once, for real.

She was our trainer, did a good job, but couldn't get along with anyone in her area.

So they decided to let her go.

I hate days like this.

Wow. Someone needed to delay that by a day. Or do it a day sooner. That just sucks for everyone.

It wasn't well planned out at all.

Still don't know how I got dragged into the whole mess, she has nothing to do with my department.

Awaiting reply.
Update:

Well my boss went from panicking, to upset, to laughing, to telling me to "have a bad day" and not to bother coming into work tomorrow.

SUCCESS.

That is pretty rough. She's going to go home and wait all week for the phone to ring telling her that it was a prank.

Be cafeful playing a prank on your gf or wife.

Us girls could always get you back!

---

Read before you look....

Your wife decides to go out with her friends drinking and dancing....
You're okay with it, because you get to watch sports and play on the internet all night...
You hear her stumble into bed around 4 and laugh knowing she's going to have a monster hangover....
You wake up the next morning and go outside to the family Volvo, which she used last night....
You sigh in relief because it's all in one piece....
You circle the car looking for dents and find none....

But .... Wait a minute....

Not finishing stories doesn't count as an April Fools joke.
