nm, it's in there. This is a legitimate reason to hate him I suppose.
There's a youtube video of Steve Martin doing that same thing.

Sort of like when Gabbo stole from Krusty, who originally stole from Steve Allen. Dane Cook is Gabbo.

Same situation, slight theft, but different delivery, different material for the most part.

I actually enjoy both comics, and I'm not a douchbag by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm not the biggest Chris Rock fan. I just don't get it.

People have different tastes. That's why the Jonas Brothers are so damn popular.

The difference is that The Jonas Brothers are aimed at children. Children have lots of disposable income as they don't have to knock out mortgages and car payments.

I don't think I've ever heard of Dane Cook. From the subject in the this thread it appears that's a good thing.

I think these guys have similar appeal, top shelf delivery, but little to no variety or content.

The first Dane Cook joke i heard was great, but he hasn't even gotten me to crack a smile since.

Beat them until they understand that Dane Cook is unfunny.

Thats how the pros do it. If you make them laugh whilst delivering the thrashing of a lifetime they dont tell their parents.

Lewis Black is hilarious. Great political humor. Comedy has to have truth behind it and his does.

Dane Cook OTOH is an idiot but I can see why people like his comedy he's passably funny.

Lewis Black has intelligent humour and wit. Does he yell? Yep, but his entire act he's about 30 seconds away from a code blue heart attack. He's yelling because he's angry, he's not yelling repetitively.

I have no problems with loud comics, I have problems with overly loud, overly repetitive, unintelligent comics.

I'll give credit where credit's due, Dane Cook has some good material, but all in all I'm just not a fan of 90% of his stuff, nor do I like his movies.

You sir, just described the legendary Bob Newhart. Best Story Teller Ever! Bob Newhart also doesn't have a tendency to yell repetitively.

I'd also like to reiterate for everyone that it's the yelling repetitively that annoys me, the YELLING OVER AND OVER then whispering OVER AND OVER YELLING!!! BAHHHHH Yeeaaaallllllaaaaaa OVER and OVErrrrrrr

here's another question: did you guys see dane in Dan In Real Life with Steve Carrell?

He was't the star so I wouldn't really call it a Dane Cook movie like employee of the month.

On that note, what about his role in Mr. Brooks with Kevin Costner?

Just interested in what you guys think.

I like Dane Cook. I think it really has to do with his ability to tell really good stories. I think you really have to watch a whole routine to get into him. Of course hes got bad jokes like everyone else. A very funny because its true kind of guy
