People have different tastes. That's why the Jonas Brothers are so damn popular.
The difference is that The Jonas Brothers are aimed at children. Children have lots of disposable income as they don't have to knock out mortgages and car payments.
in regards to the people that note he just yells a lot: what is your opinion of louis black? he seems to do a lot of yelling to make his jokes funny. i personally like the guy because his jokes are the ones you have to think about, but just wanted to know if he fell in the same category for you guys?
Lewis Black has intelligent humour and wit. Does he yell? Yep, but his entire act he's about 30 seconds away from a code blue heart attack. He's yelling because he's angry, he's not yelling repetitively.
I have no problems with loud comics, I have problems with overly loud, overly repetitive, unintelligent comics.
I'll give credit where credit's due, Dane Cook has some good material, but all in all I'm just not a fan of 90% of his stuff, nor do I like his movies.

I haven't actually seen a Dane Cook movie, but I have to admit to finding him funny. He's like that guy at a party that doesn't really tell jokes but tells funny stories.
You sir, just described the legendary Bob Newhart. Best Story Teller Ever! Bob Newhart also doesn't have a tendency to yell repetitively.
I'd also like to reiterate for everyone that it's the yelling repetitively that annoys me, the YELLING OVER AND OVER then whispering OVER AND OVER YELLING!!! BAHHHHH Yeeaaaallllllaaaaaa OVER and OVErrrrrrr

here's another question: did you guys see dane in Dan In Real Life with Steve Carrell?
He was't the star so I wouldn't really call it a Dane Cook movie like employee of the month.
On that note, what about his role in Mr. Brooks with Kevin Costner?
Just interested in what you guys think.

I like Dane Cook. I think it really has to do with his ability to tell really good stories. I think you really have to watch a whole routine to get into him. Of course hes got bad jokes like everyone else. A very funny because its true kind of guy
