At age 19 i started investing in a RRSP and have done so every year since. It's something my late father drilled into my head. Start early and let time and coumpound interest do it's work. I'm heavily into mutual funds and my RRSP is growing by leaps and bounds.
Nothing wrong with spending money on beer. You gotta have a little fun with the money you're making.

DVDs used to be a bad one for me. I have a lot that are still in the wrappers. Why the hell did I buy them?
Going back to school 3 years ago which cut my income in half, while adding to my costs forced me to really change how I handled my money. Trying to keep those habits as I move forward now.

I've never felt bad about CDs. Probably half my CDs are from places like Recordland and were under 10 bucks. If I enjoy that CD or even a song off of it a few times in my life - its not a bad price to pay.
CDs are some of the best value out there I think.

I agree, CD,s per say are a good value. My problem was i'd by a CD for one song that was on it. Now i've taken the best songs from each CD and downloaded them onto my computer. From there I make compilation discs for my vehicle.

I don't regret my 800+ CD collection. I love it and wouldn't change a thing if I went back, even though every song is now on my ipod and the CDs are at my parents house in another province.

About a year and a half ago I built a whole new spanking PC from scratch for ~$2000 bucks, and then proceeded to systematically dismember and sell off parts for less than I got them for while buying super duper new parts for around 8 months straight.
Then I ran out of money :<

I can't believe this thread went 4 pages and no one brought up the epic MissKat thread, which was basically just one big reiteration about overspending on something.
The thread stretched on for about 30+ pages until people clued in that the whole topic was not a quest for advice as she had advertised but some bizarre concoction of lamentation and attention seeking, and the whole thread degenerated into people calling her on it, which carried on for like another 30+ pages.
good times. good times.

I love my DVD collection, but sometimes I buy some out of total boredom. Why do I own The Mummy and the animated TV show version of Clerks.

Yeah, it was messed up. It was our first date. Picked her up from her place in Bear's Paw. She asked for a hug right away. IMO, that was the first sign that she was interested. I start driving to the Stampede. We were both dating someone else when we met about two months ago. We both confirm that we were now single. I asked her if she wanted to drink tonight. She said not that much because she works Saturday morning at 7am. So I told her as a precautionary measure, we can go back to her house, pick up her work stuff just in case we both get hammered and she can just crash at my house. She said yes. So there is the second sign that she is interested.
We get to the grounds and was walking around. She put my arm around her waist while we walk so I could "guide" her. Hint #3 right there. She is moving to Halifax for school in late August and kept mentioning how it sucks that we are just now starting to hang out and she is moving soon. Kept making me promise her that I would visit her. Hint #4
So we go watch the hypnotist and have some drinks. We flirt big time. She kisses my cheek and lips and I do the same. Hint#5. So we go on a couple rides and I win her a stuffed animal. I get her some cotton candy and she makes me lick them off her fingers all sexually. Hint #6
So she decides its best if she goes home and sleeps in her own bed and have her car with her for the next morning. I have no issues with that whatsoever. We hold hands the whole ride home back to her house. Hint #7. She tells me that I can sleep in her bed with her if I want, but only for a half hour. Of course I say yes. We get back to her place and her sister has a couple friends over for drinks and tells her that their mom ain't coming home that night. So she tells me I can stay the night in her bed with her if I wanted to. Hint #8.
So we go to bed and start doing stuff. And before I seal the deal, she admits that her and her boyfriend were still together and we can't have sex!!! I'm fine with that cause this chick is totally cool, not a slut (only slept with one guy in her life and that is her current bf), super hot, etc.
So I just roll over and five minutes later she asks me for a back massage. She lays on her stomach after taking off her top and undoes her bra. Hint#9. So of course my hand wanders and she is okay with that. She asks me if I like her @$$ and stuff like that.
So anyway, we just go to bed afterwards and when we wake up, she is so distant from me. No kisses, whatsoever. I'm thinking that she feels guilty. Fine by me, that is just human nature.
So we have mutual friends and we're both at the Big Easy last night. We start talking about Friday night and she tells me how none of that should've happened and was trying to blame 95% of what happened on me!!!
So should I have accepted the blame??? I totally did not accept 95% of it and claimed we were both 50% wrong (even though I felt I had done nothing wrong on my part). But she insisted that her part of the blame was minimal!
What is going on in this chicks head!?!??!? I have no idea, but would love to find out!!!

I started my RRSP at 26, feeling like an idiot for waiting so long. The bank person I talked to was a little surprised, noting that "most people this young aren't thinking of retirement."
Spending too much on food/snacks is a constant irritation for me, though I am finding I am less and less interested in Mcburgers as time goes on. Though every once in a while, I'll hit up a fast food place three times in four days.

Yikes, a lot of Red Flags with that one GQ. Stay far far away, especially if she tries to pursue something with you.

Well, if as soon as I heard that she was still with her bf, that's a deal breaker for me. I'd be out of there. That suggest to me that she is untrustworthy. As for the blame, I'd say up to the point before the bedroom she is completely at fault for leading you on, so yeah, she definitely should share the blame.

Mavericks cost $185 (Dinner, drinks, and the $40 hypnotist tickets)
Parking $15
Admission $26
Winning a stuffed animal $28
Two portraits $55
Cotton Candy $7
I guess that equals only $316 but I did spend $60 on ride tickets that I never used all up

I know. This was Friday night too. I also went to the Sneak-a-Peak with my buddies and dropped $300 that night. Followed by the Stampede Pub Crawl on Saturday that cost me over $100 for the day and night
I thought I was going to turn over a new leaf, but then I went to the Big Easy last night and spent $130
Can't really budget for some reason. Going to Vegas for the first time next week too!!!
