Hopefully the Avs dismantle the Blues' mojo they've had going.

In 2 games between them i trust the Avs to steal points and take them down a peg.

It's been a little too smooth sailing for st Louis.

We still control our own fate. Even going 12-0-1, no one can catch us.

They never got that new coach bump. Seems like they have it now.

If calgary and st.loo won out, the Flames would be in.

In that sense, yes, they control their destiny.

Neither team will though.

We play better against the good teams, having the easier schedule is a curse to the Flames. We'll beat the Avs and lose to the Sharks, it's what we do.

In years past I would agree with you, but this year we have been beating the teams we should, and getting decimated by higher skilled teams.

Also out last 13 games are a good mix of good & meh teams. So even if it does go the suggested route, its still a positive for the Flames.

Would not have predicted meaningful games in the last week of March.

Wolf one of the best in the league.
Generic brand defensemen manage somehow.
Huberdeau resurgent.
Coronato 25 goals.
Huska gets full team buy-in to defense.

Crazy!

Thats only when we had piece of crap Markstrom in net. Couldn't beat the Blackhawks to save his life. Good riddance.

This year the Flames can't beat the Blues to save their life. If they could, they'd be ahead of the Blues in the standings right now.

Sometimes one team just has another team's number. There's a considerable element of rock-scissors-paper to hockey tactics, and a system that works well against one team will work poorly against another. Fans tend to look for a specific person to blame. They are usually wrong when they do.
