Why have pelletier on the 4th line with lomberg on his offside, then have duehr on the 3rd?..

Lomberg-Rooney-Duehr (grind grind grind)
It’s a wonder we can’t score any goals.

Where Pelletier andf Duehr play in the bottom 9 6 is so inconsequential, I'm surprised it took the 16th reply to start the hand wringing about it.

I disagree.

Pelletier still has 1st round pedigree, he's only 23 and he's been consistenly been a ppg in the AHL.

Let's not act like he's a bust. There's still lots of potential there.

Hopefully he can handle a game on the 4th line.

Why do you mention he's French-Canadian every other post about him? I notice you use that comment about Huberdeau a lot too.

Did you have a bad experience upstairs in Montreal once or something?

There's a pretty big difference between having Kadri/Backlund/Zary as a centre versus Rooney.

That is seriously just a schtick. I just think its funny, because Huberdeau being a giant sack of useless has very little to do with him being French.

I'd have thought discerning posters would have seen through the sheer façade.

On paper? Probably. These days? I'm not so sure.

Should've stayed with my gut and wrote bottom six. Editing now.

We have to be patient with Zary he is a natural C. Need to give him a good look and Conroy said him showing progress would change things.

It’s gotten old. Maybe because it was a poor premise to begin with.

Nope. It was originally a bit funny because it was absurd.

I don’t know that because he played C as a teenager that he is a natural center. That’s like calling half of the NFL natural QB’s because that’s what they played in high school.

Zary played wing in the A which is ideally where he would have learned the position as a pro. Now the Flames have little choice but to give him a look and I agree patience is needed. He’s probably not playing Center on many NHL teams.

Not many teams have 2 natural centers on their roster lol.

I’m not going to lie and say I saw him in the minors but based on our options I’d much rather give him the chance to learn it over a Sharangovich or Pospisil.

It’s just hard to judge with our lack of talent. It’s not like we can slap Huberdeau on his wing to see what we can unlock.

Good teams do.

Not that any Calgary fan would know anything about that.

How many points does Zary have playing C? It seems to me that the offense has dried up, now that he is focusing on being a C.
