Interesting that Kuzmenko seems to be the odd man out in the lines.
I am not sure if that is meaningful a day before the game?

Yeah those lines are absolutely terrible. The brutal lineups and the losses accumulating are much more in keeping with what I figured we'd see this year but damn.
On the other hand, GUY. Love him.

Would have rather seen something like this up front:
Coronato-Zary-Sharangovich (players that seem to be generating the best chances on one line)
Coleman-Backlund-Posposil (hard to play against)
Huberdeau-Kadri-Pelletier (Huberdeau and Kadri connected for goals last game and Huberdeau will try to help Pelletier get off to a good start)
Lomberg-Rooney-Duehr (grind grind grind)

I dislike moving Zary from Huberdeau - I thought they were buildling a rapport and Coleman looked OK on the other wing.
I like keeping Coleman with Backlund. Sharangovich is OKJ there I guess.
That Kadri line looks weird. Is the idea that Kadri skates it up and Huberdeau and Pospisil just crash the net together? I guess Kadri is similar to Bennett in a way, but Pospisil sure isn't Verhaeghe.

When the lines went dry the obvious choice would be to return to the ones that worked during the winning streak. They got a small bump before the Minnesota game, those lines died during that game and then he stuck with it the rest of the whole trip. Now they're home and rather than do something obvious like swap Pelletier for Kuzmenko and Duher for Kirkland, then rearrange the top 6, he does this. Its a shake up, so we'll see. And maybe this gives Pelletier a shot of confidence playing with those two but way to likley kill Zary's production, at least on paper.
Also, have we not seen enough Huberdeau-Kadri failures to know this doesn't work long term?
