92 points...OMG playoff run told you they would make it

When a team makes it in below the 96 points of the snake they better thank their lucky stars. 8th in the east had 100 last year.

Pens lost to Habs, Hawks, Jackets, down the stretch

Panthers are lucky as hell to clinch a spot with 92 points. Heck they will get 7th with 94 and that is crazy. 100+ in the west.

Lol, just saw that the Oilers won the game on a gifted PP in OT, because of course they did. What a f'n joke. No 3 on 3 in the playoffs, ya losers. And the refs won't be as trigger happy to just hand out PPs during playoff OT.

Also, other than the OT goal, the Avs were perfect on their PK tonight and looked like the better team from what I saw of the game. Oilers will be in tough to win more than 2 games in a playoff series against any of the top teams in the west, or Boston/Carolina/Jersey if god forbid team McPP actually makes it that far.

Calgary was expected to make it easily. Florida was not. We first hand got to see what each team lost and what each team gained. Huberdeau hits 100 points Calgary is in also.

They weren't? They won the presidents trophy last year...Panthers have had a bigger drop off points standings wise than Calgary year to year

Panthers have ONE more point than Calgary and they could even by ahead at seasons end

Like I said they are lucky the east is low this year. Switch the teams and Calgary is in with a win against SJ in the east despite a bad season

Yes. According to this place Florida lost 2 of their stars while gaining a player who wouldn't replicate another 100 point season.

Well whatever, they are substantially worse than last season...if people cant admit they are ridiculously fortunate to be clinching a spot with 92 points IDK. Most years that is just outside like the Flames spot right now.

Flames could actually finish higher with a win vs. SJ and I don't think one poster thinks the Flames had a good year.

I'm not bashing them I just think the I told you so's are kinda rich when the teams have the same mediocre point totals

Of course Calgary didn't. Florida struggled also but they have 100 point player in his first year with them. They had a the all star game. Their expectations weren't over the roof with the changes.

Florida saved their season by replacing Bob in the final weeks

Flames rather keep their all star goalie in the minor

That’s probably the difference

Not sure who is 'you guys'. I never once said fire anyone. I was positive, hoping the Flames would make it until the end of last game.

Always so salty. Lifes too short man.

I didn't realize they made changes to be worse

Pretty sure they expected more than 92-94 points

They get a chance to save it in the playoffs but with those totals they are fortunate to have that chance.

If the Flames got in with 92 we would be saying they were fortunate too. Pens really choked. Jets found some wins

IMO Wolf needed to be tried after the ASB.

That was the time.

Team has no gonads.

Maybe, but the actual difference is the competition...if the Flames just had to finish above the Pens they would be in with a win tomorrow.

It's very possible the Flames will have more points than the last playoff team

Also Knight going down is what happened....maybe the Flames needed a goalie injury?

I just talking about the general talk

Flames disaster season

Panthers pulled it off

Flames are probably 1 up or 1 down on them... mediocre all around

Interesting the Canes can "choose" their opponent tomorrow likely

Win and get the Islanders
Lose and get the Panthers

Landeskog, Manson and Makar all out tonight and likely returning in the playoffs too.

Alex Lyon played pretty well at the end of the season to get Florida in. One of the three stars of the week in the NHL.
