Vladdy lost his positioning. Goal scorer was far out, and unchallenged - at that distance, Vladdy’s positioning should do 95% of the work - and Vladdy lost his net.

…he then went on to have a dynamite game.

If Kylington comes back we will have three pairs that could be a top pair on many other teams. Maybe no clear #1, but probably the best in the league in top 6.

I just hope he sorts through his situation in the best possible way and returns in time to get into game shape before the playoffs.

Not sure what's up with Lubo lately. Seems to like to talk about how great McDavid is and crap on the flames.

Wonder if they have an over under on penalties in OT?

Seems like the flames usually have good D men without a good D plan. Why are there so many high danger chances against ? I hope they get a simple system figured out for these guys to follow. Like don't all run behind the net to chase one puck carrier.

Every metric for Mangiapane for the last few years pegs him as an elite 2 way winger who can finish well. He's having an awful year so far, no doubt.

Perhaps a benching is in order to make him realize what he needs to do again, but who knows. Darryl usually pushes the right buttons. He'll get him on track at some point.
That's awesome. Metrics mean squat when you do not produce. xGF and xGA mean nothing when we have mid offence and bottom feeding defence.

Yeah, 95% of the work. Most of the net was covered. Problem is the guy didn’t shoot it at his equipment

He put it over the pad right inside the post. One of the places Iggy would always shoot for and often find success

That’s a snipe if Calgary scores it.

We agree, he had a dynamite game

I would have liked to have seen Zadorov in the shootout. No one knows what this guy will do. He's pretty creative when he has a chance.

Can't be too disapointed they played an ok road game and came away with a point, even in light of a pretty dodgy OT penalty for merely lifting precious Sidney's lil stick.

Just once though I'd like to see Mangipane actually win something in the boards.

Iffy first goal aside (story of Flames' goaltending this season), Vladar was incredible.

It was all Pens in the third, Vladar earned that point by himself. I hope he starts again soon.

Feel like both Wills and Loubo are less positive lately, bet it has to do with not being on the road with the team

I bet you’re right. They have to feel a lot less like part of the organization. Good for objectivity I suppose but that’s not really what I’m looking for from the hometown radio crew. Just a joke that they aren’t at the road games.

I put the blame more on Kadri...that was a pitiful attempt at a shoot out goal. That put the Flames behind the eight ball right away.

Backlund had a poor effort too...would have put in Lindholm myself.
