That was 100% a crowd call and a ref at this level shouldn't bite on that or the dive

Good comeback effort on the second night of a back-to-back road trip. 3 out of 4 points is great.

Vladar was good, made some great saves and kept the Flames in the game.

The only talking point for me - and it’s a very minor quibble - should Mangiapaine have been the third shooter? He had the hot hand tonight.

For a desperate team I didn’t think the preds were very impressive. Didn’t really notice Josi aside from some nifty touch passes. Top line played ok but needed just a little more. Bottom 6 useless again.

Thought Kylington was really moving the puck up well, started a few good breakouts. Vladar was great, would have been nice to get the two points but whatever.

Lot of punchable faces in the preds bottom six, I fear somewhat that nick cousins would tilt the flames if they ended up meeting in the playoffs. Hopefully the physical flames bottom 6 could physically dominate the preds pesty bottom 6 if they end up meeting.

Yes. Thought he was going to be.

Toffoli who's been snakebitten made not much sense.

Meh. Reffing was pretty bad, but didn’t cost us the game.

Overall for a 3rd game in 4 nights in which they were down by multiple goals I’ll sure take it. I liked the effort but you could tell fatigue set in.

Take the point, rest up tomorrow, and get ready for Dallas Thursday.

As for RS vs playoffs. That's a thing and pretty much is at every level of competitive hockey.
Obviously yes, they are. They’re coached to keep games close or to mildly push for ties / OT in close games. You think this is just a natural outcome in 80-90% of games?

I mean, that's more on the refs who, for whatever reason, took forever to blow plays dead after Vladar clearly had it covered. Happened 2-3 times tonight.

Nashville wouldn't be a pushover but I'm not scared of them.

Game 1: Won because of a blown call in OT and a lucky bounce.
Game 2: Won in the gimmick

This is ridiculously naive IMO. Flames aside, they’re thoroughly engaged in game management, for better or for worse.

Give me a J
Give me an O
Give me a k
Give me an E
What does it spell?
Joke.
The reffing in this league is WOW.
You got their players holding ours ...ours trying to get away....without being an embellishing diving POS (which by the way this team doesn't have nor would Darryl tolerate) and boom....dumbest calls again on this night.
I swear if we end up getting f 'ed again this playoffs by garbage calls ima snap!!!!

Damn proud of the fight we put up against a desperate team .
Wow what a night for #88 , #20, #80

Fellas ....I'm sold . This team has some character finally. Dress rehearsal is almost done .
Soon it'll be gloves off and workboots shined up and ready for some ass kicking.

Flames won't have to play the night before with the Preds waiting in the playoffs

I would probably pick Dallas but the Flames can beat either with even a B+ game

All playoff teams are going to be tough outs. They're in the playoffs for a reason.

Bring on any of them. Let's go.

Don't expect the calls to get any better in the playoffs. The whistles basically get put away and the refs let the players sort things out on the ice in the playoffs on all but the most blatant penalties.

I would be fine with this...it's the ones they call every 21st time it happens that piss me off

The interference calls for being stronger on your skates can also pound sand

I think it's about what doesn't get called that irritates people. Like the Chucky roughing early in the second was obviously roughing, but somehow that cleared their memory of the delay of game call on NSH that started the whole thing.

Kind of like when a commentator says "that's going to get called every time", while in reality it's being called at about a 1% clip.
