Well that's finally done, only long term contract that might scare me is Markstrom. Hopefully he rebounds and stays injury free next year. Otherwise that contract is gonna be ugly.

I think all the broadcast guys were good friends with Geoff Ward. They were pumping his tires big time before Tre removed the "interim" tag

Last year if someone told me the Flames would only lose one time after the playoffs started I would have expected a better outcome to the season.

Well in his defense a lot of fans were clamoring that it wasn't fair to blame the players for their own incompetence because the ownership refused to pony up the cash to hire a proven veteran coach.

So they did hire that coach and the team got no better at all and they got they answer that they didn't want, it's a player problem not a coaching problem.

He's got a bit of leash to rub a few faces in the I told you so pile.
